Not sure if anybody has found this yet but while on High Noon I noticed a strange area labeled “Construct of Mordia.” I did a little reasearch and Mordia is a bungie employee to my knowledge but beyond that is anybodys guess. Here is a pic, seen bottom left corner:
Just found a pretty interesting article written in 2002 by Matt Soel and none other than this guy named “Mordia.” What’s even better is they explain how Halo CE and Marathon share many aspects! Coincidence…
> Where exactly is this area? Is it next to a structure, or is it just floating in midair somewhere?
I’m not exactly sure where it is but what is strange is I tried to look for it in the same area which is roughly in the center of the map and a little towards the front using the monitor but could not seem to find it.
Then I tried again holding an object(in this case a teleporter node as you can see in the pic) and centered the monitor reticule exactly on the metal rod that extends toward the portal. It then popped up for me to my surprise.
So from what I found, it looks like the area is in the air near the center of the map but you have to be in monitor mode and be holding an object to see it and have the reticule on the metal rod.
Not sure if 343 is trying to tell us something with that but anybody else get a different way to get to this area?
That’s pretty cool. Maybe there are more of these on the other maps? I know there’s one on Powerhouse called “Vaya Con Dios!” which means “Go with God!”.
Also did more research on Mordia. Looks like the name Mordia was used by Bungie employee Peter Marks who none other made the original Hang Em High map in Halo CE!

> Yep, just confirmed that.

> I give respect to 343 for adding this little easter egg in as a tribute to Peter for this amazing map. He will be missed.

Thats actualy quite sad.
And a very honorable thing for 343 to do.
