Easter egg frequency in Halo 4?

Would halo 4 be better with halo 3 type easter eggs, halo reach type easter eggs, new ones or none at all. Halo reach had switches, Halo 3 had weird conversations and strange occurrences. How would it effect the gameplay. ( And to those of you who have played Fallout new vegas with Wild Wasteland on, I’m not talking about it being that silly and common, but more hidden and mysterious.) Share your ideas.

Little bit of everything perhaps, somes ideas from H3, H2, and Reach.

Yeah, I just don’t want it too get too silly. What about skulls? do you want to find them or have them as an option?

finding them really isn’t a challenge anymore since the advent of YouTube. I think the Skulls in CEA should make a come back as well as the few originals that couldnt be implemented in CEA.

I guess its up to the honor system of finding them yourself.

It would be cool if these easter eggs opened up a side mission. Just an example. Lets say there are hidden items in the campaign that makes mention of all things Halo. Lets say you stumble on a CE Grunt speaking all kinds of gibrish. The mission would activate giving you a goal of locating the other 3 of his group. Find a Plasma rifle somewhere out of the way, you unlock a side mission where you must find 4 more scaraab guns from Halo 2. Just a stupid idea, but it could be fun.

That could be cool. Would they cover the same mission or various ones?

I would think various missions. Very similar to the skulls, and terminals. I just thought it could be fun. Dancing hunters could be one. Some of the games had the same weapons, only graphically different. Find the Halo 2 and Halo 3 BR. Find 5 or 10 Golden Brutes. Classic vehicles. There could be a lot of potential. Add some cheevos to this and you just created some awesome search parties.

I want Easter eggs that give you undriveable vehicles, terminals, and other goodies.

Yeah there could be a series of terminals, like halo 3, that tell an interesting story.

We’re on to something here. Quick, someone call Frankie. The game hasn’t gone gold yet!

(Just Spit-balling) A series of terminals, one in each level, that give a clue to some huge mystery, and at the last level, you go to some far, out of the way part of the map, and the mystery is unraveled…

There should be a locust that you can drive.

Yeah, and you can control the giant laser.

And the Overdrive ability.

How about 343i easter eggs? Easter eggs are things the creators put in, 343i should make that theirs.

Oh yeah, they will create them, im just saying they can reference other halo games, like skulls, terminals, locusts, and everything else we’re talking about. 343i can definitely add their own stuff, id like to see that.

Yeah I would like to see hidden skulls come back. Bandanna would be awesome for laso. Terminals would be cool to for an extra story.

Maybe there could be an easter-egg in each mission that you can find, and if you find them all it unlocks a special level that you could drive any vehicle and use any weapon in and could spawn what ever enemy you wanted.

I don’t think they’re bringing the CEA Skulls back. They got a lot of grief from the Mythic community about those skulls. It turned LASO into one big grenade fest. All I care about skull-wise is IWHBYD and Grunt Birthday Party.
