Easiest way to make halo 4 the best

I have been playing halo for around 8 years now, if you want this game to be good, all you need to do is incorporate the most popular maps from all the other halo games.

That’s not going to happen. All new maps.

All the other halo games before reach incorporated maps from the prior games, I understand them putting in new maps, but put in the old ones too. This will appeal to new players that haven’t seen them and bring the old school people back.

You have to account for sprint being default for the game. That’s why Reach’s maps didn’t work so well. They were design without AAs in mind. Most of them anyways.

I can see them having an option to disable sprint in custom games.

No, we should have brand-new maps that are designed for Halo 4’s gameplay.

They will, but they are accounting for MM. Besides I’m getting tired of those old maps. I know that other people are too.

They need to make new stuff in the game, but they also need to keep the core the same, because that’s what made this game franchise so successful. Why even call it halo if its not even gonna feel and play like the previous halos.

The core of Halo is not the maps, it’s how it plays. It will stay like the core of Halo.

Yes, because we all saw how AMAZINGLY WELL Hemorrhage played in Reach, right?

I hated Hemorrhage. A DMR was all you needed on that map. I think it was one of the worse maps on Reach.

To me, halo is a slow-mid play speed game, throwing in all the armor ability’s and sprint make the game no halo like. It makes it a cluster f*ck of randomness, which might be cool and fun to my 8 year old cousin who isnt old enough to buy the game, they need to do what they did for halo 2 and 3 and made them so successful. Could you image if the call of duty franchise made such crazy changes to there games, I promise you they wouldn’t have as big of following as they do now. They keep the core game and add new maps and weps, nothing to drastic.

Ah, I missed day-1 Hemorrhage. Tons of tank -Yoink!- and tons of running around not finding any enemies. Great memories!

Halo is supposed to be fast-paced. Not slow. That’s why I like multi-team so much. That’s one reason Reach was hated so much.

New maps are best for halo 4’s new gameplay elements. That said, people are probably going to remake old maps fairly quickly in forge, ideally those can be added into the no-armor-abilities playlist soon. And hopefully forge isn’t as bland in halo 4 as it was in reach, since there are now supposedly unique pallets and some other fancy sounding garbage, so it won’t be terrible to look at community remakes either.

Talk about a horrible game. Used this as an example of what would happen if old maps were used.

That’s a terrible idea. AAs conflict with previous halo maps, and not everyone will buy a game because it is nostalgic nor will that make the game perfect. If a remake of a map is being made it’ll be Blood Gulch(sadly) I also noticed a map in one of the videos that looked like a canyon, fit for two bases, and a much more elongated but narrow playing space. Maybe it’ll serve as the remake for Blood Gulch and hopefully be a successor to the not-so-great, Hemorrhage

Meh, map remakes can get boring fast. I think they should invest their time in more unique maps and leave the remakes to us Forgers.

Just because a map played well in one game doesn’t mean it’ll play well in another. Gameplay mechanics change. Pinnacle and Hemorrhage did not play too well in Reach, for example.
