I was just wondering if you guys have found a way to level up the quickest. I’m almost level 55 and play mostly Warzone or Infection, but I’m dying to get a higher level as well as more REQ points haha Any tips for the kind-of-newbie?
Warzone Firefight and Infection are wonderful choices for earning XP.
Use XP/RP boosts.

I’ve used all of them I have except the commons lol

Hey, every single one of them helps, believe me.
I can say that it will require a lot of time to get the req points you need to get a full req pack collection. It took 7.5 days for me to get the Halo 2 BR and a nearly complete req collection. You can speed up the process to sell all req cards you don’t need like common and uncommon xp boosts.
Play the featured playlists.

You can also sell the Common ones to get more REQ points to get packs without playing. Level and REQ collection have no connection.
Yes play the features playlist. At least win an arena and warzone firefight game every day to get the daily packs so you can get XP boosts. Also winning you get more XP, so don’t lose games, lol.

Sell all of the commons. They’re next to worthless for their actual purpose for 2 reasons:
- They give you next to no XP, and can have no effect if they are dependent on high amounts of kills or winning the match.
- They are worth 75 Req and they add up.
I even sell the uncommons that I know are not worth pursuing. To me, this means pretty much every uncommon that isn’t a boost or jackpot.
Sell weapons that you know you aren’t good with and develop a system for keeping just enough of the weapons you are good with that are available at the same level. For me, that’s selling the human sniper rifle because I’m bad with it - and because I’m good with the Beam Rifle and the Halo 2 Beam Rifle which are both available at the same level 6 Req as the human sniper is. I have myself capped at 10 of each beam rifle, so I sell any extras without running the risk of running out. Then take the ghost and sword ghost for another example. If you have enough sword ghosts, sell off the basic models; they’re both available at req level 3. I do that for all of my vehicles, so long as they become available at the same time during a match.
Mongooses and Scout Hogs are nice, but even if you keep one of each model you’d probably have 10 different vehicles which all do the same thing (transport 2 Spartans in the beginning of a match) that you almost never call up. I sell most of mine.
The Req builds up very quickly like this. I have been using it to buy silver packs. I find they’re the best in the beginning because they contain the same number of permanent unlocks as a gold pack, but are half the price. Golds do retain better quality and they come with 2 more cards than a silver pack, but still, half the price. For the same amount of req, I can get double the permanent unlocks, 24 silver cards instead of 14 gold and sell my duplicates, weapons/vehicles I’m bad with, and common boosts.
Daily win packs also help as they usually contain a 200 free req points card and a bunch of other stuff that can be sold. Oh and one other thing: because you’re obtaining so many packs, you’re going to get a lot of uncommon or better cards for XP boost and req boost. Run one of those every game.

I would advise against going into a playlist you dislike just to rank up, because you’ll end up burning yourself out faster. Like others have said, Warzone Firefight and Infection are probably good for this, but don’t play them if you don’t find them fun.

Yes however it’s generally a bad idea to sell scout hogs if you like to play Warzone Firefight. They can be extremely useful for certain first rounds

Yeah definitely. A rally scout hog with a passenger who has a needler is really fun lol

The beginning waves are generally so easy that you don’t really need Scout Hogs to take down enemies. If you have unlocked the right weaponry and Armor Mods. I highly recommend focusing on ammo capacity and to use precision weapons. You should also try to be in a safe distance from the opponents to increase the likelihood of survival.
I do currently rarely use vehicles in Warzone Firefight as I have learned how to use the loadout weapons and where the enemies spawn in each wave.

This is true. They aren’t ever needed, but they are very handy if you want a nice splattering ram to rack up lots of points quickly at the beginning.

But you can’t use armor mods at req level 1…

Thanks for the advice, although I play on Heroic so survival isn’t really an issue.

The absolutely best armor mod is a level 3 req (Patrol Case) which can be used in wave 2 if you have a successful wave 1. The key to wave 1 is to use the magnum a lot of times and use nades when there are a lot of cannon fodder clustered. Being effective with a Precision Weapon and the Magnum is also very helpful in Legendary Warzone Firefight as it will also make it possible for you to control the amount of deaths you will get.
My current K/D ratio in Heroic Warzone Firefight has been above 35 in games with only using permanent req cards because I plan how to fight the wave in a wave so I don’t get flanked and reduces the chance of a frustrating death. There are some super annoying waves but luckily, most of them can be cracked deathless easily even on the Legendary version.
Heroic WZFF, SWAT and Infection are probably the best playlists for EXP. If you’re looking to grind all the way to 152 in the end like me, it’s gonna roughly take 60-130 days of playtime using those playlists. I’ve still got 40,000,000 EXP to as a 146. I’d be further ahead if I didn’t still play Reach to finish up Inheritor grind there too.
Play regular Warzone with a 6 man team. That’s how I hit 152

I don’t know if its just my luck or what. I dont get refunded for silver reqs but I literally ONLY unlock common/uncommon boosts and stuff like scout warthogs. Never anything else, no helmets, armor, nothing. When I get gold packs, I get mythic, legendary and Ultra rare weapons and armor, every time.
Depends on which weekend it is. Sometimes double exp weekend can be helpful but depends on which playlists are involved. Kind of hate how it’s featured playlists only since there are some playlists that I refuse to go near.

I didn’t even notice the double xp this weekend. I played like 30 games of swat and got less exp than one game of infection per swat game.
