I didn’t think I’d be able to complete the challenges this week, but Saturday evening the end was in sight! I finally finished the ultimate challenge with 2.5. hours before it ended. I was so excited, I’d been looking forward for several days to using willow tea on my Mark V armor!
Only to find out I can’t. The coating is for Mark VII only.
I’m disappointed that I can’t use something I worked really hard at on the armor used to earn it.
It still hasn’t ended lol. It ends in 2 hours from now.
But I agree armour coatings should be universal. I understand it isn’t as easy as that though if they want more intricate designs like Willow Tea.
One way or another it would negatively affect the volume or intricacy of the designs they can make/armour cores available if they do this.
Meanwhile 343 just sold a coating called Forgotten Sands for all 3 current armor cores in one bundle. Having cross-core coatings clearly only matters to them if they can sell it.
You can check what armor the coating is for beforehand.
But really coatings should be for every armor. It’s just annoying to have to get the same coating multiple times. Especially when it’s, just, like, basic blue or something.
