Can we have come up with a dumber challenge? Double kills Don’t count? What the hell is a distinct killing spree. I’m not looking it up cuz I don’t care cuz this is a dumb challenge
And yes, if I seem bitchy and Moany it’s because of what this game has done to me.
That’s a three point challenge right? Maybe a killing spree with each of the three weapons in tactic ops? Battle Rifle, Sidekick and Mangler?
Killing spree’s are 5 kills without dying if I recall.
I don’t think that’s it cuz I’ve done that. Okay I looked it up just cuz it’s -Yoink!- me off. It’s a killing spree. You have to get five kills or you don’t get the points for the challenge. And getting a killing spree in tactical Slayer isn’t that easy cuz it’s really easy to die. I’ve gotten three but this is stupid
If you can’t get a killing spree playing your normal style in SWAT, then you’re going to have to camp around the map a little bit. Farm spots where you know you are difficult to be spotted or shoot at but your opponents are in the kill zone.
Ahh Camping a lovely way to play
It’s either change your playstyle, or get flooded by “git gud” replies.
Nah I’m not camping just to get a stupid challenge. I could, but it’s just so boring camping
And I’m done playing infinite for the day. Thanks 343 for your awesome challenge system.
You don’t have to camp, that was just a simple solution I threw out. But if your current playstyle isn’t working… you have to make adjustments somewhere. Maybe take a couple hours from the game to reset, you might come back later today and be on fire.
I don’t really recommend camping honestly… Once people know where you are you’re pretty screwed most of the time.
You gotta be a little bit unpredictable. If you do camp, get a couple of kills, then move to another location to keep them guessing where you might be.
Believe it or not, I’m getting quite a lot of kills corner camping in this game mode. Where I wait next to a corner for someone to run by and melee them the instant they’re close enough to melee. I often kill people before they can even see me. You have to pay attention to sound ques of their footsteps though for that. This is how I got the mangler kill spree, since landing mangler shots is probably the most difficult of the bunch.
Battle rifle is pure reaction time, quickly noticing targets in your surrounding and flick shooting. You get good at that you’ll probably get spree’s fairly easily. Pistol is the same, but a little more difficult to land shots.
Other things you can do is try to get behind people when I know there’s a fire fight going on so they don’t suspect me and I can get easier engagements with them.
Lastly, and it might just be my imagination. But if you sprint around the map, try to stop sprinting when you get near where you expect enemies are located. First off, you’ll make less sound, making you more difficult to hear. Secondly, I feel your character reacts faster to quickly firing when your not sprinting, but that may just be me.
it’s just getting separate sprees. For example if you get an overkill in one go the previous double kill, and triple kill medals wont count, only the overkill counts, if that makes sense.
You either move around aggressively with an offensive play style in mind or you play with a slower approach but it will feel more like a “camping” defensive playstyle. You can switch between these styles mid-game. If you don’t figure it out in time, the game will be over.
I still roam, but I don’t stay in one spot very long. I want them to have to keep guessing where I might be abd flank or attacking from blind spot.
I try to keep kills in an area to 2 or 3 kills max before moving on.
I also try to support teammates when they’re being focused on. Since they’re not attacking me, I can use that for advantage for free shots/kills.
I don’t think I should totally have to change my playstyle just to complete a challenge.
Those are not sprees. Those are multikills.
Nor do you HAVE to complete a challenge
I HAVE to complete the challenge to finish the event. How do I not have to complete a challenge that makes no sense
Than quit hitting your head on a wall and change your playstyle to get it.
Have you read any of this thread past the last few posts? I said earlier I should not have to change my whole play style to earn one challenge.
I agree with this but this is what we have and honestly 343’s so stubborn when it comes to reworking such frustrating challenges so these other users are right : either grind it or don’t do it.
I personally skipped my last Event Challenge because I decided it was simply not worth my sanity to attempt it. At least this week should give us fresh challenges and hopefully those aren’t ridiculous and are easy enough to achieve.
“Have you read” is a bad point to make in a thread where people are giving you advice and you keep saying “no, thanks, I’m going to keep doing what hasn’t been working for me.” You are free to keep banging your head on a wall and not get the challenge, or you can make a change in what you do and get the challenge, that you say you “have” to get, done.
