I think it would be a good idea if credits became earnable for winning games especially in ranked matches it doesn’t have to be some crazy amount just something reasonable. Like in ranked if you win a match you get 200 credits and if you win a causal match you get 100.

Credits is how they fund the game. They cant just give them away.
People buying credits is what funds all the content coming. If you won 100 credits per win, players would never need to buy credits again.

While earning credits would be nice, I think it would be ideal if they were tied to larger accomplishments such as weekly ultimate rewards, commendations, or even earning mythic medals.
