Halo Wars 2 is getting a beta! Yay! No. No yay. But the E3 trailer was amazing, how could you not like that there’ll be a beta? I love that there will be a beta, but the timing is terrible. In my area, school is just letting out, which means final exams, which means 1/5 of your total average for that subject, which means studying, not gaming, no matter how much I may want to.
But I’m not just here to garner pity, I’m here to ask, how many of you saw and loved the E3 Halo Wars 2 trailer? How many of you will replay the original Halo Wars campaign to get ready? How many of you can’t wait to play as that brute guy with a really weird name I wdon’t even try to spell’s faction, the Banished? How many of you hope the gameplay reveal wasn’t like the one for the original Halo Wars, and that the total carnage shown in the gameplay trailer remains unchanged? Not to say Halo Wars gameplay wasn’t awesome, of course. How many of want the new Halo Wars 2 Mega Bloks sets? No, they are not toys.
Graphics look bad. Cinematics were the most bland they’ve ever been in a Halo game.
Zero interest in the game after that performance.
Can’t tell what I think of the game from the gameplay we saw, I will reserve judgement.
What I do know is that was a -Yoinking!- awesome cinematic trailer, usually I don’t care much for those sorts of thing (and really who does?) but I was quite impressed.

Graphics look bad? I mean you gave no reason why you thought they were bad, to me they kinda look like a mobile game, or closer to Spartan Assault/Strike
The graphics are amazing. Cutter looks old, and we have no information on the campaign. But the game looks awesome!
The trailer looked amazing, loved the song and everything.
Quick question: was that Brute commander in MJOLNIR??? Guess that’s why the Spartans were running from him in the first trailer…
In game graphics look dubious, I’ve seen new screenshots on the store. It looks like Spartan assault or a cartoon, childish, fake and unrealistic.
Waiting to play the beta for final judgement, but the horrible art of the red “2” in the logo already scares me.
Halo wars was a great, serious game with the aspiration of realistic graphics. Hope they stick with that.

Judging by all the Halo cinematic trailers that has been made thus far, Halo Wars 2s trailer is not the best out of all but it is definitely not bad. I can too see that the graphic does not seem to be fully polished BUT don’t forget. There are many months left until release so expect the final version to look way more polished, hopefully it being a Console RTS too won’t dumb it down too much. The PC version should look much better. Don’t forget we all have different opinions about the art style/graphic style and it’s all fine.
Halo Wars 2 has many months of polishing to do. Let’s hope the time they have is used well.
I agree that the graphics look cartoony, but if the graphics have to be sacrificed so that they can improve upon the more important features, I’m fine with it.
