So, as most of you are aware, a Halo title was announced in some form or fashion today. Now, some people are jumping on the bandwagon and saying that it is Halo 5, but no confirmation has been given to that theory, not by E3, 343, the trailer: nothing.
It could be Halo 5, but a 2014 release date? Please. If 343 wants to not seem like they are milking Halo, they’ve got to spend more time and effort (unless they have way more people at their disposal for game making) on the games.
So, I suggest this: this is an Xbox One exclusive expansion to Halo 4 that will launch with the titicular device. Think about it; Spartan Ops was put on indefinite hold, leaving half of the Halo 4 team with free time to either work on Halo 5’s story/Spartan Ops, or time for something new altogether. This is the “replacement” for Spartan Ops for the meantime. Think “ODST.” And what better way to reward us for buying Microsoft’s new console than with something new, without going to way of Call of Duty?
