On the IGN Verison of the reveal trailer there are almost as much dislikes as there are likes (That’s is just awful for Treyarch to see) and even on the CoD page it has the like-dislike bar about 1/4 the way filled with dislikes. Lots of views? Yes. Lots of Fans Yes? Lots of haters? Aboslutely yes.Halo will make a slight come back. And if it for some reason doesn’t CoD will be setback.
The problem is that Call of Duty is a massive multi-platform game. PC and console gamers all can play Call of Duty. It’s unfair to compare a Xbox-exclusive game to such a massive franchise. Halo is huge, don’t get me wrong, but it doesn’t have the availability that Call of Duty has.
Another problem is that I think some people are starting to see Halo 4 as Microsoft milking the Halo Cow. Halo 3 ended well and people believe that it could have ended there. Personally, I see Halo 4 as a whole new thing set in the same universe, but not everyone sees it that way.
Unless Halo 4 is a runaway success, Halo 4 may not have the same numbers as Halo 3. Regardless, I’m still excited for it. Hopefully 343 shows some cool stuff at E3.

There are over 30+ Millions 360 users out there. Halo4 could be a blockbuster. But after the mess that is called Reach. I dont think so. I hope, but it wont happen.

sadly not…
The first look only has 1.468.486… thats nothing compared to Copy of Paste bo2

I think he meant the debut trailer on machinima which has 7 million views. But black ops 2 got 8 million views in 3 days.

Well BO has PS, PC, XBOX, and i think DS (didnt mw3 go to DS?)fans. So it has a lot more fans to reach out to. Only about a third of those views were on any given system. I watched it about 5 times to make fun of it and show my friends to laugh. And looking at the dislike bar im sure a lot of people did that too.

I think it has a lot more to do with CoD, Bad Company, and Battlefield than Reach, actually.
I’m not denying the broken elements of Reach (well, the unforeseen abuse of Armorlock is really the only thing off the top of my head at the moment). I don’t think a numbered ranking system would’ve helped much either.

I absolutely agree with every word you just said good sir. Everytime a person compares sales rate between Halo and CoD most likely CoD will get more sales, because of the fact that it’s a multi-console game.

Just compare 360 sales. Even then it’s impossible with how many bandwagoners joined CoD in the last few years. You can’t beat CoD. It’ll eventually beat itself and people will move on to the next cool thing.
I promised myself that as soon as CoD looked like it was heading in a different direction I would pre-order it. After I guaged all the hate on the CoD forums I went out and pre-ordered it.
As for the OP I really hope to see little bits and pieces of everything but I really hope they keep a little hush hush on the campaign side of things. I want to go in feeling like It’s completely new.
