I’m saying it should look remotely like CQB to be a successor. This armor is too sleek and smooth to be similar in any way the bulky armor that was CQB.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I think the exact same thing. I have NO IDEA how people see a resemblance through Dynast. I want the good old CQB that we know and love, not some crappy rip-off!
Yea totally agreed, the helmet or armor looks nothing like CQB. I don’t understand where people where getting that from.
I do kinda hope 343 puts a classic set of CQB in halo 5 at some point, maybe a visually updated Halo 3 version. I think that would be cool.
I’m not saying it’s anywhere near as -Yoink!- as CQB, but you can definitely see the shared design ques. The lines arounf the cheeks and the bottom of the visor. If you go into photoshop and straighten out that line at the top of the visor it looks a lot closer to CQB.
It looks NOTHING like CQB. I personally don’t like CQB, so I don’t want it back. But if 343 does, make it like the original.
Dynast looks like Samus from Metroid.
I’m pretty sure all of this is wild speculation. I don’t think 343 had the slightest intention of drawing comparisons to CQB. So they aren’t trying to bring it back with Dynast. I never really liked it, so I don’t need to see it come back, but this wasn’t an attempt.
Also, I kind of like the way it looks for the helmet, and the armor. But I’ll reserve judgement, because the pictures they show us always look more plastic-y than they render in-game. The helmet seems more like it would be inspired by Sangheili mandibles than CQB. That was my knee-jerk reaction, anyways.
It’s unlikely I will switch from my Centurion/Helljumper combo any time soon anyways. Not until I get the Hermes helmet. And maybe not even then.

Thats because its not. The Decimator armour is the Mark VII prototype, its just loosley based on the Mark V (B) but is not the armour itself.

I honestly prefer DECIMATOR over MK V (B), it just looks cooler to me. Anyway, yah, it’s not meant to be the same armor, just similar (not in Dynast’s case.**__</strong>
Wow I never noticed the body till you pointed it out thats pretty annoying actually, I know we have other dupes on armors but to release a new set with a duped armor
I don’t think it looks like CQB, but I think 343 made it for the people that want CQB. If I were one of those people I’d be very disappointed. I think it’s the same with Decimator; it was created for people who want MK V .

But it’s the best were gonna get.
Unless they port the original model from halo 3.
And update its textures.
Maybe add the helmet, chest, and shoulders to mark 6 gen1?
