I think it looks the most like Halo 3 and Reach armors, with it’s clean lines, simple textures, and, semi-practical look. What do you think?

I’m 90% sure the body is just Athlon, and I dislike the helmet for being another piece of armor with a non-traditional look.

just curious, what do you mean by non-traditional? what makes a design (mostly helmet) traditional?

If it looks like a piece of UNSC hardware instead of something that doesn’t even resemble Halo.

Take a look at all the armors and helmets in 3 and especially Reach. Notice the styles and compare them to all the wild stuff you see in 4 and 5.

It really is similar to Athlon, you would expect a CQB armour to be light wait.

No, it’s not Athlon. It looks like a better, more armored, practical version of Athlon… and I absolutely love it.

I had no idea it was CQB inspired until I looked at the canon fodder, lol

Helmet got the 343 treatment and no codpiece.

Ill pass unless real CQB armor comes out.

  • DynastIt’s the exact same armor, just harder to tell because its skin is pretty bare in comparison to all the Athlon skins.

Kinda like what they did with the Scanner armor where they made it a reskin of Soldier armor.

Except the Dynast Gauntlets encase the entire forearm (not just one side) and has different kneepads and waist armor.

I don’t get why they’ve made a lot of chest pieces so chunky! It makes it so you can only set certain helmets otherwise the chin lags into the chest piece.
There’s only a select few armour pieces that are nice and small, a lot of very masculine ones!

I find Hellcat body armor has the slimmest visual profile, with CIO helmet. But the Dynast helmet looks kinda jazzy.

Jumpmaster (armor) is slimmer. It also contours when you select a female character model unlike Hellcat.

I actually had no idea it was inspired by CQB. Strangely enough, I didn’t like CQB but I like Dynast.

No, it really isn’t. No part of the Dynast is the same as Athlon. They have a similar shape, but I think you need to look at it again.
