DXDIAG not picking up monitor hz properly

it says i have 60hz monitors when i dont they are 144hz + wondering if this is a bug, but on the DXDIAG it says i have 144hz on my monitors just want 343 to know that this 60hz is incorrect. i can tell you off the bat that the most common pc gamer monitor has 144hz+ as shown by steam surveys.

> i can tell you off the bat that the most common pc gamer monitor has 144hz+ as shown by steam surveys.

Are you sure about that? Steam surveys don’t even list refresh rate, and the last I heard 60hz was still most common.

yeah absolutely false lol

Yeah just scroll down until you find that “Native Mode” line and just edit it yourself. It shows up in the webpage just fine after.

most people dont know how to do that, so majority of these DXDIAG will say 60hz to 343 devs which is ovb wrong

Got the same thing, mines 120hz… But “native” is 60.

Yup, I have a 144 Hz but it say “Native 60Hz”.

Weird…

I don’t think this matters that much. I doubt the lack of reports of a 60Hz+ monitor is going to change their mind in not including higher refresh rates.
If higher refresh rates are not going to be included, it’s going to be because of another reason.

Also,
My refresh rate was listed correctly, so maybe you don’t actually have 144Hz enabled in your graphics card settings. This is quite a common mistake with people who have 144Hz monitors, they don’t know they have to manually enable 144Hz in their graphics card settings so they have actually been running at 60Hz the entire time.

On the DxDiag text file it also shows “Current Mode:” which is correct, I at least have mine enabled to 120hz. However it still says native being 60hz.

yep for me i’m using a 144hz monitor even my Win 10 settings say so but still says 60 hz

It display that on mt dxdiag.

It’s amybe not an GPU issue, but simply like that cause it’s says 144hz even if the native refresh rate is 60hz.
Hope it is not and big issue to be inclued in the halo inder group !

When I did it it said that my tv was at 30 hrtz but its at 60 hrtz

Huh that’s strange… I just checked mine and I’m not seeing any issues. Are you sure you enabled your monitor to run at 144hz?

removed

Have the same issue, only difference is that i got 3 monitors hocked up so not sure if it’s confused or not, my Display 1 below is running 120Hz

are you running 144 hz in your desktop as well or just in games. plus drivers support 60 hz off the bat so that’s probably why

It’s a plain text file, and Halo players aren’t “most people”. I’m 90% certain that a dedicated Halo fanbase understands the concept of reading, especially the lot of us participating in a forum.

When you saved it, it was a .txt file. You could have opened the file up and corrected it before uploading it to the program sign up.
