If this is going to be the last update for Halo Reach [sadface] then could you please do what Bungie did? Just give the community what it wants.
Elite Duel Wielding. I’ve seen those Ultras and BoBs carry 2 Plasma Rifles in Campaign and Firefight. You can change the settings for Armour lock and Active Camo. You can adjust Bloom in most. Why Can’t you switch on Duel wielding for Elites in Forge, Invasion and custom Firefight?
Seems alot of things we see in Campaign are not available in Forge. Grenade Launcher Falcons? Fuel Rod Shades? The setting to adjust the rate of fire in Shades? It’s meant to be the most customisable part of the game.
Thanks for playing.
They can’t do it because it’s not a simple switch to flip. The settings don’t work like that.
I agree with Snickerdoodle.
You can’t just update something like that when the game was built to not have duel wielding. IT would also cause balance issues. I’m glad duel wielding isn’t in Reach, to be honest.
That’s a whole title update to implement that change. They aren’t going to drop $40,000 on a patch for Reach three months before Halo 4 drops just to change something that really hasn’t been missed by most players.
It should be possible
The Elites have been designed to hold 2 weapons. There should be a base setting for that… If only.
As for balance issues are concerned. Elites get the focus rifle while Spartans get a unlimited mileage on their Sniper bullets. Elites get Plasma repeaters while Spartans get Shotguns. Hardly fair in my opinion.
The update came out an hour ago. No dual wield, also it would be impossible.
I was happy without dual wielding since ODST came out. Frankly, it’s tactically unsound and takes the plausibility factor away from the gameplay, thus making it less rewarding and more “Yeah right.” After replaying Halo 2 and 3 in recent events, I can kinda see where we’d love to see the return of dual-wieldability…if that’s even a word.
