Duel wielding?

I’ve been researching a lot of halo 4 since 343 announced it! But I just realized something. I never heard of anything on duel wielding! Is there going to be duel wielding for sure? Or are we not going to see it again? :frowning:

Dual wielding’s out, sorry.

What? How do you know?

They said it months ago, it was one of the first things we knew.

Duel wielding was [thankfully] left out. And yes, this was verified months ago.

Then it is as I feared… I’m going to still buy halo 4 because I love halo so dearly. Lol

For reasons of sandbox balance.

Yeah, they confirmed no dual weilds. Sorry, mate. I guess we’re better off without it because no one ever used it.

That kind of sucks guys. It was kind of nice that it was there… But I guess most weapons would be nerfed if they kept duel wielding huh?

That, and unless you start with a Duel Wielding weapon, (like the SMG in Halo 2), Duel Wielding is too big of a hassle to be useful.

AI dual wielders should be able to shoot at 2 targets at the same time (especially if dual wielding for players doesn’t return) rather than always supplementing their main weapon. They should also try to suppress the enemy, by firing even after he’s gone into cover (as in H2). And of course, they should have to reload/guns should overheat, because bottomless clip is just op.

That’s out.

Are you blind? Dual-Wielding might have been the most used feature in Halo3 other then moving, looking around, and having a gun in general. At least that’s how I remember it, but I think that’s because Bungie made it so Dual-Wielding was pretty much necessary with some guns. If balanced properly, it would work fine. I don’t see why we cant have dual-wielding at least in custom games.
