I personally thought dual wielding was a waste of time. I didn’t like the idea of having two weapons just to make that weapon as or more effective as single wielding weapons. What do you think?
Agreed. Dual wielding didn’t serve any purpose and was a waste of resources.
Agreed, just say NO to duel wielding.
It’s what killed the CE pistol, it’s why we have mid ranged rifles that no one can agree on how to operate.
DW tears the community apart.
Disagree. Dual wielding gave purpose to many guns and was a great compromise between damage and accuracy at the cost of grenades and melee. Certain combinations had great effects and it added some depth to the game.
I liked dual welding. Then again, when it was implented, many of the weapons were bad by themeslves (magnum).
So depending on weapon strength, dual welding could come back. Itd be cool if it did.
For me, duel-wielding needs to stay. it gives weak weapons a purpose. I can’t even begin to describe how much i hate how so many weapons go untouched on a map in Reach. if they were duel-wieldable then they would be given a purpose and be picked up much more often.
after all, Halo 4 is a sequel to Halo 3 so the core gameplay from Halo 3 needs to come back. duel-wielding and all.
I’d like dual wielding if it made you more powerful. Like you said, weapons needed to be dual wielded to be effective as a normal weapon.
I say yes to dual wielding being available in Halo 4. It is a nice feature to have in the games.
To the people who are calling it useless in MP, it may have not been as effective in halo 3, but that is not the systems fault, it was incorrectly powered to the weapons available.
If it was available in game, along with the SMG, I’d be happy. I mean, the mongoose has little use in multiplayer, but people are fine with them being in maps. I could achieve kills in H3 as it allowed players greater firepower at the cost of the inability to throw grenades. The system works, it could do with tweaking.
I say yes to dual wielding. I want to dual weild swords! Climb up walls and stuff.
Yes! Maybe give the weapons an accuracy boost or zoom when not duel wielded. So people will stop complaining about how useless they are on their own.
> I say yes to dual wielding. I want to dual weild swords! Climb up walls and stuff.
I fail to see how you come to the conclusion that plasma, which is less dense than air, can be used to climb walls.
Basically Dual Wielding in Halo 2 was handled right, but the weapons were under-powered. They basically made all DW weapons 50% of the strength of a normal weapon, in some cases even less. Then when dual wielded, with the accuracy nerf and in Halo 3 the bullet damage nerf. They were basically on par with normal weapons.
Whereas DW weapons should be closer to 60-75% the power of a normal weapon. With great accuracy when single wielded. Then when DW the accuracy drops, but you now have 120-150% raw power in your hands.

I fail to see how you come to the conclusion that he wasn’t joking. Unless you’re joking too…then I’ve just made myself look like an -Yoink-…
Double the power, half the accuracy. That’s how dual wielding works. Or should work.
Otherwise, no.

Sword dual wielding is pointless since the sword is already a single strike kill weapon. How will that make killing people easier.

Imagine a minigame like assassins creed with dual swords. Climb up buildings. P.S. I was joking about the climbing walls!

I had a feeling you were. Thats why I didn’t mention it.
Hated dual wielding in Halo 3, and i hope they don’t have it in Halo 4.
Plus, i doubt they would have it since Halo CE didn’t have Dual-wielding til Halo 2 anyhow.

Wat
Halo 4 is the sequel to 3 whcih is the sequel to 2 which is the sequel to CE. New ideas were added each time. They wouldn’t just randomly go all the way back to CE. That’s going backwards not forewards.
Keep Dual Wielding, except: 1) Don’t put it on the pistol, so it can remain a power house, and 2) Never, EVER make Team Duals a gametype ever, ever again.
