In the original Halo 2 game on the Original Xbox (and even 360), there are parts of the Campaign where friend and foe Elites are supposed to be dual-wielding, however, in Halo 2 Anniversary they are not. Going into classic mode in Anniversary doesn’t fix things, either. The only part of the Halo 2 Anniversary campaign that I see Elites dual-wielding (besides cutscenes) is in Cairo Station when the 2 Elites jump down from the upper-level with dual Plasma Pistols during the first Covenant encounter in the game. Besides that, the Elites that are scripted to dual-wield in the game are only holding a single gun, instead of two!
There are times where I kill an Elite that is scripted to be dual-wielding and he drops both guns that he was supposed to have on the ground, even though he was only using a single gun and is only using the Elite-stance of using single gun, instead of the Elites dual-wield stance. An example of this that I noticed; at the end of Cairo Station, I kill a Major Elite guarding the bomb who is scripted to dual-wield both a Needler and Plasma Rifle, however, he is only holding one or the other, not both, and is only in the single gun stance in Classic and Anniversary mode. This is also highly prevalent on higher difficulties, where dual-wielding enemies is (or would be) much more common in certain parts of the game.
Another annoying part of this is when the dual-wielding Elite is on your side as the Arbiter.
- In Oracle, the intro-cutscene shows two Elites, with one Elite holding 2 Plasma Rifles. However, in gameplay, both Elites only have a single Plasma Rifle.- Going along with that, on the Gondola ride in Quarantine Zone, you have 4 Spec-Ops Elites as your allies. One of them should be dual-wielding Plasma Rifles and another should be dual-wielding Needlers.- On the Great Journey, you meet up with a Spec-Ops Elite and 2 Hunters. That Elite is supposed to be dual-wielding Needlers, but is only using a single one. My Elite allies during the Tartarus fight on the same level do not dual-wield when most of them should, either. There are probably more levels than that that this affects as well.
Please fix this error, 343!!! Thank you
