My friends and I have been missing the ability to dual wield weapons as it was first introduced back in Halo 2. Unfortunately 343 has dropped this ability from standard gameplay.
I got to thinking “What if dual wielding was brought back as a new armor ability?”. I’m picturing a yellow symbol with two bullets divided by a spartan silhouette. There would be three levels for varying durations and REQ level requirements. It could work.
I know I’m not the only person who would love to run around Warzone shooting two Whispered Truths or a plasma/needler combo. It’s just an idea but a really good one.
Depends. I honestly believe it should be a setting in custom games, but left out of competitive match making to avoid having dual wield-able weapons become pea-shooters. (Looking at you Halo 3)

Don’t forget halo 2, that was arguably worse than h3.

That’s not exactly what it means, but your version does sound cool.
if they do it it can’t be a req 5 ability like all the rest it needs to be 7 or 8. it would finally give something that could compete with the bayonet + enhanced strength combo. I envision it that you can’t melee but it is still like using 2 actuall smg’s at once. it would make so the last 7 minutes of WZ were less “win buttony” ya’ know. because the bayonet honestly makes combat a little boring. you can’t spartan charge anyone with a bayonet you can’t melee or you’ll be wrecked. if you have bayonet meleeing means your basicly just arranging a kill trade. I would love to dual weild SMG’s. imagine how cool it’d be to spray down a bunch of bayonet kids as they run towards you

Isn’t that just locking atop a falcon?
Let’s not forget the balancing that bungie has implemented which broke those weapons that could be dual wielded. I imagine that 343 would use the same balancing method, so I’d rather not have dual wielding in the game.

I think it should be a mythic legendary armor mod, but that would be great. And also only work on certain weapons. No dual wielding snipers, that would be awesome, but no.
No saws too, or energy swords (that would be cool though) and no railgun dual wielding.

No, in FPS’s it’s kind of limiting in that you don’t control each weapon hand individually, to track different targets as the best weapon masters can. It’s more suited to games like Devil May Cry, Uncharted, or Tomb Raider imo.

How would you dual weild a sniper? Most guns take two hands to hold save the handguns.
