Dropshock Brigade :: Recruiting EU, AU, & NA

WARNING - This thread’s purpose is for recruitment, and recruitment only. Stay on topic. If you’d like to discuss something else, you may do so on our site’s own forums. Thank you!

> I. Basics

Introduction - I am Reactive of the of the Dropshock Brigade. We pride ourselves in being one of the most mature, and professionally organized clans out there. With a member base of over 70 active personnel from eight different countries and a clan history of more than three years, we offer a unique variety of members between Europeans, Australians, and North Americans. Interested? Read on.

> II. What We Have To Offer

Gaming - Unlike a lot of clans, our clan has several clan matches, inter-clan scrimmages, tournaments/contests, and gaming nights. We do plenty of matchmaking and events amongst ourselves, and also have practices throughout the week to improve our game play. In these practices, we not only learn new strategies but also improve chemistry amongst ourselves.

Community - We have members from all over the globe and there will always be someone online. Our members are the reason the Brigade is special. Each of their individual efforts and personalities contribute to the Brigade’s success for the past two years. We have a forum and chat on our website where you can communicate with them while off of Xbox LIVE.

Professionalism - Our clan acts as respectful and professional as we can at all times. But, not only is our behavior professional, so is our website. Our website was created by scratch from our founder, Vitamin R, and he has maintained its originality ever since. Just glancing at our website will express just how accurately how we handle the clan.

Promotions - Promotions aren’t easy to come by in the Brigade. If you want one, you need to earn it by working for it through initiative. We’re organized with a roster and divided by Companies and Platoons with a unique ranking structure. Throughout your time in the Brigade, you will also learn what it truly means to be a leader. You may think that it is just for gaming, but you’ll learn life lessons in your time of service with us.

> III. Becoming A Member

Enlisting To get into the Dropshock Brigade, you must register on our website and fill out the Enlistment Form. However, before doing so, please look at our Enlistment Example to get a good idea of what we expect of you to post. Now you begin your two week journey into becoming a member of the Brigade. Why must you be a Recruit for two weeks? Well, in this time, we’ll essentially be “screening” you for potential. This is your trial period, and you’ll have to obtain a sponsor in this time. A sponsor is someone that looks after you and assists you in any problems or questions you may have. They’re basically your mentor, and you can achieve getting one by playing a few games with us and politely asking if someone would like to do it.

Once you have a sponsor, and been with us for at least a week, you will be eligible to take Boot Camp. This is where we test you on team based skills and communication. Playing ability does not matter to us, as we have both recreational and competitive players in our community, but we will be testing you on how vocal you are. After Boot Camp, you may take our Entrance Exam which will test you on the knowledge of the Brigade that you’ve accumulated in your past two weeks here.

Sounds tough, right? It is. We don’t allow just anyone to step it, and because of it, it’s put us at one of the greatest clans in Halo, and possibly the online gaming community as a whole. We didn’t get to where we’re at now by magic, but because of the wonderful member base and community that we’ve had over the years supporting us. You’ll have to show us you belong. So, do you think you’re tough enough? Prove it.

Contact - There are several forms to contact me on any questions that you may have. You may view our FAQ Section if you need help, but if you’re still a little lost, I can gladly help you as best as I can. You may either post on here, PM me on either here or our site, or contact me on Xbox LIVE. My Gamer Tag is DSB Reactive. Good luck, see you on the battlefield.

This is an apology statement meant for DSB.

I, Night Raven, apologize to any and all members of DSB for my harsh words in previous threads. They were made in haste and out of anger. That shall not happen again. You have my word.

That is all.

I. Basics:
Initial Information- Hello I am Sergeant Rugs of Charlie Company, Zulu Platoon in the Dropshock Brigade, I’d like to offer you the opportunity to join one of the most organized, professional, mature, and friendly clans you could hope to find in the entire Halo community.

Motto- “I am an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. Those words may be used often but we are unique. We are the best trained, best equipped, and craziest outfit in this collection of colonies we call the UNSC. I will defend her to my last breath and give my enemies the death that can only be provided under the tread of my black combat boots. I am no normal marine. I push my mind, body, and soul further than most human beings ever will. I instill fear in my enemies as I drop from the heavens like the wrathful gods of Greek lore. I show no mercy. I show no fear. I am a UNSC Helljumper and I go feet first.”

“Feet First Into Hell”.

II. Registration and Enlistment:
Enlistment Form: To join the brigade, you must first register on our website and fill out the Enlistment Form. Make sure that you fill out every form in great detail. The enlistment process is a simple screening to determine who is truly committed to be a part of the Brigade. The best way to prove your worth is to be active, both on the forums and Halo: Reach.

Sponsorship- The first step to joining is meeting people. By meeting people and learning more about the Brigade, you can get Sponsored. Sponsorship may only be attained after three days. It simply means a Brigade member has decided to place their faith in you. Your sponsor will be there to help you every step of the way. They will play with you, introduce you to other members, and generally show you the ropes.

Boot camp/Entrance Exam- After another four days -seven days total- you are allowed to take your boot camp. Boot camp is simply a determination of your teamwork skills, and how well you can callout. Your sponsors responsibility is to teach you callouts so that you may successfully pass boot camp. The final part of the enlistment process is the Entrance Exam. The exam is a simple test of your knowledge of the Field Manual.

III. What We Have To Offer:
Gaming- Unlike a lot of clans, we play together very often. We play Matchmaking a lot, the playlist varying on how many members are on. If we begin to get 7-8 or more in a lobby, then we switch over to custom games and have fun. We have game nights usually on weekends at around 8pm (EST time) and play fun customs.

Ribbons- In the Brigade, a ribbon signifies a soldier who has achieved a certain requirement and has been rewarded a ribbon for it. These ribbons are shown on your site profile. You may see yours and other ODST’s ribbons on the side of each post. To receive these awards is a very great honor.

Entertainment- We regularly schedule clan matches to gain recognition among other clans, and mixers to form strong relationships between clans. We also have a nice Chatroom where you talk and meet new members. Make sure you keep the chat respectful, and make sure you’re using Firefox. It is the only browser compatible with our chatroom.

Organization- We are a well organized clan with a Roster. Personnel are organized into divisions based upon where they live, and what time zone they are in. We have a wide variety of forums to discuss different things with other members.

Promotions- Promotions in the Dropshock Brigade are given for either a show of activity, loyalty, dedication, work ethic, and leadership skills. Do NOT ask for a promotion. Doing so will most likely result in a demotion or loss of merit. The detailed Ranking Structure explains everything about each rank.

If you decide to enlist, please remember to list Rugs as your recruiter. If you have any questions check out our FAQ section.
Otherwise contact me on XBL, Gamertag is DSB Rugs.
See you on the battlefield soldier.

why doesn’t your site report DSB clan match losses?

It used to. Most of our reports are put into the subforum “Battle Highlights”, that report both wins and losses. However, I’m unsure if non-registered members could see that area of the forums. The tab on the left hand side of the site would also indicate our losses, but at the moment it either has not been updated if we recently lost a match, or it’s not functioning properly (in that case, I’ll have to go bother Omi about it :stuck_out_tongue: )

And something a little more on topic, our Public Relations section and some of our members have been working on a tournament for awhile now. What it could be has not yet been specified, but we have done team, doubles, and free for all tournaments in the past. Regardless of whether or not you’re in the clan, everyone is still welcome to participate. Stay tuned for more details in the future.
