You are in a way trying to slander him just without using names or anything like that look stop trying to undermine everyone’s comments that have issues with things that aren’t gameplay related seriously just let people leave their opinion because it’s only going to benefit the game in the long run because you know they’ll actually maybe fix something like just leave people alone like if you have a problem with their opinion keep it to yourself because they’re not coming on here for you to essentially harass them because their opinion doesn’t have to do with gameplay aspects and some of his things did have to do with gameplay and cosmetics are gameplay related they’re just not 100% necessary

This thread isn’t locked yet? I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t have long for this world. What is going on with the forums? So many posts saying negative things are locked away.

I definitely agree. I’m not planning on playing until there are big changes. My reasons aren’t quite the same; I’m mostly annoyed that I can’t play game modes that I want to most of the time, and I have to spin the wheel and hope I get Slayer. The challenges and progression make many people play differently and have an adverse effect on teamwork, like you mentioned. And people quit more than they ever did in MCC, for the same reason. They also need to fix custom games, which are unplayable. If they fix customs and let us play Slayer, then I’d come back. But right now it’s not fun playing modes I can’t stand anymore most of the time.

Wouldn’t blame you for taking a break from the game, but is this a case of these preventing you from enjoying the game or do you just dislike everything else as well. Have you practiced with the weapons you feel bad or do you think they are just so situational that they end up being garbage to use.

Your rank does go down. I’ve basically capped at diamond 3 and losing takes a huge chunk of my bar now even if I play really well.

You got a pretty comprehensive list gotta admit. The UI is atrocious, and needs an overhaul.

The only one I’m iffy about personally is the classic weapons. I’m on board with adding weapons into sandbox eventually, I’m a big fan of variety personally, but I’m not sure if it’s a pressing issue with how well the game currently works balance wise.

But it’s a good recommendation nonetheless, couple of personal takes but I dig em (blood missing is a bit sad), and you addressed several that I don’t have to include.

Here’s what I would add:

  • address crashes
  • add a rejoin option for Ranked matches
  • fix the audio blind spot directly behind players
  • better friends list integrations, add friends through the game
  • regional server connection, latency currently differs wildly between matches which I can only assume is chalked up to random regional connections
  • waiting a little longer for a fairer match in ranked

Thanks! I hear you on the weapons, it’s certainly something I’m willing to get over as long as they add them back within a reasonable span of time.

Your additions are great, and I’ll gladly add them to my own list for future references. The first 4 are especially noticeable and frequently problematic.

I made this thread just because I wanted to vent and am getting annoyed with some stuff about this game that probably won’t get fixed, or if does it’s gonna take years. We waited 6 years for this and now I have to wait another wait year and half 2 years? I just want a good finished game at launch and not have to worry about issues or features they knew people wouldn’t like.

Got back to MCC and found out it is a much rewarding and fun experience, Modern gaming is depressing

I’m with you. Gave up on the multillayer tonight (after playing Halo games almost exclusively for 10 years).

I don’t even care about progression, EXP, or customizations.

It’s just not fun.

I’ve got two for you - both in regards to aiming.

  1. Red Reticle on PC needs to be added back. Removing it did nothing to stop cheating and its absence has an effect on aiming.

  2. Strafe acceleration needs to be tuned to 80-90%. I encourage everyone to load into a custom game (if it works) with it set to 80 (Halo 3) or 90 (Halo 5). It makes the combat dance strategic as opposed to twitchy.

You definitely can fix, plenty of games have gone total revamps in mechanics before to nothing but praise, the question now though is will 343 be competent with this or dig their hole deeper.

At the height of Halo’s popularity, Halo 3 gave you 1 XP for winning and 0 XP for losing. Double XP weekends doubled the gain for wins and losses.

The good ole day’s they should just do it like this tbh but all these kids would cry now a day’s.

At least we get something win or lose now. I remember when you really had to GRIND to get that General level 50. I got about halfway there during my teenage days.

Even when we would lose it was still fun because everyone was talking on the mic on game chat etc.
