Dropping Infinite

Bye see ya later alligator.

Armor customization regardless of its affect on gameplay has been a core aspect of the halos since 3 and a driving part to keep playing the game with achievements challenges being the reason to stick around. You can’t tell me you didn’t feel satisfied when you reached captain in reach and got the scout helmet or finally managed to get mongoose mowdown after days of trying.

As for the name calling grow thicker skin. You’re playing an M rated franchise and it’s the internet.

Yea the grapple shot one is bugged, it only works on wasps currently. High Power or whatever the map is called is good for that one, especially on stockpile. You can rush a grapple and an active camo from spawn and just hide in the enemy base next to their air pad. It spawns in like 2 minutes after the game starts.

I have fond memories for sure, vidmaster challenges were some of the best fun I ever had completing.

However it doesn’t change the fact they’re entirely optional and subjective. There are players who don’t focus on grinding out the achievements or who don’t focus on getting every single armor piece.

People play for different reasons, they approach the game in different manners, but they all picked up the game because it’s Halo and they wanted to play Halo.

As I said before and have yet to get a straight answer on: did you pick up Halo Infinite to play Halo? Or did you pick it up to grind out achievements and progression?

Ooof but there are rules on the forums bruddaman, gotta follow the rules.

And for the last 2 games it’s been T for Teen

Peace out!

P.S. - No one cares

I picked up halo to play halo and part of playing halo is being able to customize your spartan how you want for free. The only exception were map packs from 4 and an equally bad system from 5 that was close to gambling.

You cared enough to not only come into this thread but to write a reply.

I mean, the campaign sounds pretty good, and it didn’t get the heavy money hand like multiplayer did.

A reply does not equal caring. Good try, though.

But you knew that wasn’t the case for this game before picking this up.

It evokes the meme of the guy who shoves a stick into the spokes of his bicycle and then blames someone else.

I agree with some of that, the Ravager and Pulse Carbine and Hydra especially feel underpowered compared to other weapons, which makes them less useful than the AR or Sidekick in social and not very good as secondaries to the BR most of the time. The Mangler is on the cusp of being overpowered so they need to leave it alone entirely because I think it’s in a good position in the sandbox. The Shock Rifle is kind of tough to use right but really good if you get the hang of it so I feel it’s in a good place too. It’s a risk-reward weapon that punishes people who use it wrong.

My biggest complaint is still the sidekick being way too easy to spam for free kills.

There’s no fixing deliberate design choices my friend

You know that pretty much every online game in the last ten years has made changes or overhauled deliberate design decisions, yeah?

“Fix it”, and how long did it take them to to make it playable?
Let’s be real they’re not fixing crap with this game. They’re gonna just keep double talking until they can milk us for every cent we have.

@Axe5197 God gamers are just so whiny. The OP complained about challenges (they’ve made changes two weeks in a row and will likely have bigger changes), the store (no movement on this yet, but changing it up wouldn’t be hard), weapons feeling crumby (useless feedback because “crumby” doesn’t mean anything), achievement bugs (spoiler alert: they’re gonna release bug fixes), battle pass sucking (spoiler alert: they’re probably gonna figure this out and make the second pass less annoying).

And this whole “tHeY’Re gOnNa kEeP dOuBlE tAlkInG tO tAkE oUR mOnEy!” is the dumbest thing I’ve read. From a business perspective that would be the stupidest thing you can do for an established franchise like Halo. They want to find the goldilocks zone where the players are happy and they make the most money possible; if you think they’re just gonna leave monetization a mess (and for a big game, this is absolutely a mess), you’re delusional. That’s a surefire way to reduce player retention and make less money.

How? I knew there was gonna be a battle pass as is it’s the current fad like online and season passes were or that one summer loot boxes were. I can accept the fact that I’ll have to pay 25$ every few weeks or months to get some special nicknacks and that doesn’t bother me as there’s usually some decent free stuff thrown in.
What bothers me is that they talked about “customizing your spartan how you want” and throw in a $20 armor set, or an 8$ visor color on top of the pass if the visor color was $1 or the armor was $5 that seems fair and a less bitter pill to swallow. But seeing a pass with let’s be honest some mediocre rewards where a majority are boosts and swaps which are also conveniently for sale as well is annoying at best especially when there’s not even somewhat a free armor pool at the start. (I’m not asking for 8 sets of armor for free but 2-3 wouldn’t hurt). And who knows next week when the full game drops they could pull a fast one and drop a boat load of free stuff if that’s the case I’ll gladly delete this thread and apologize to you. And if you want to continue this later that’s fine. I just got off a 16 and am beat.

@Porrage to refute the first paragraph with “gamers are so whiny look at the changes” they’re making changes to stuff they knew people wouldn’t like. There was already some griping when they announced a BP for the game with challenges as the only way to progress and then it drops and it was way worse than anticipated. As for bugs, they’ve had six years to make this. 6, I was a senior in highschool then, they’ve had countless years and builds and alphas and tests to iron a lot of these kinks out early on. And as for the “monetization is a mess” they don’t have to change it. They already got people shelling out money for the Anubis set, hcs sets etc. and they’re already losing players because of a bad progression system. All they had to do was copy MCC and toss in some speical animated camos or silly warthog horn for 1-5 dollars and people would complain less.

Come back in May for Season 2. Give them 6 months and if they haven’t fixed enough by then, it’ll take years like MCC. You can give up for sure then. I’ll be done with the Battle Pass pretty soon here, and most people will be done by New Years, so there’s not much content to milk for 6 months for anyone consistently finishing their weeklies with 2XP. Either something is going to change, or people are going to go back to MCC and 5 since Challenge XP and medals are worthless once BP is done. I’ll stick around for the Campaign and co-op if it comes soon. Also don’t want to miss the holiday events.

I really hope we will keep our already earned achievements (I have 48) and I don’t want to do them all again.

Waiting for Microsoft to fire 343 and give the game to Certain Affinity.

It’s probably 100% Microsoft’s fault the game is like this, in the same way they rushed all the other Halo games, so stuff was scrapped, broken, and unbalanced, because of rushed release dates. You can tell in the interviews that the devs aren’t proud of how the feedback is going.

Then drop the game. No need to create some melodramatic diary entry about it.

Certain Affinity made H2A, that more than qualifies them over a company that has made nothing but Halo/COD hybrids.

H2A is just a texture pack and song pack, unless you meant the multiplayer, which is just reskinned Halo 4
