Why do the weapons dropped by yourself or enemies disappear so quickly in Halo 4 Spartan Ops compared to Campaign?
It’s quite irritating when you die and drop a valuable piece like the rail gun or rocket launcher, the weapon is gone by the time you reached the spot where you fell. Then you have to fight against monstrously strong enemies with just small arms rather than ordnance weapons.
In Multiplayer the weapons have a very short disappear timer so the battlefield wouldn’t be littered with power weapons; oddly enough this same timer is applied to Spartan Ops and Campaign.
Actually weapons stay a lot longer in Campaign than in Spartan Ops. It’s really horrendous if you’re playing SO by yourself and get pounded to death by multiple enemies. You come back to where you died and a really useful weapon like a rail gun or sniper rifle that still had rounds in it is already gone! And the SO game mode has an ugly habit of spawning you right next to the mob (or a sword Elite) so you die within a second!
