One of the biggest issues in this game is crossgame playlists where you don’t have the option to play what you want. I would suggest to drop all unranked playlists and bring in a custom game browser instead and let us all decide what we want to play. All you would do is select multiplayer and there would be two options for the ranked playlists for each game labeled matchmaking and the other for unranked labeled Custom Game browser. The Custom game browser would then working by selecting what game you want to play and then you would just join a game. Want to play CE 4vs 4 join a lobby done simple. Want to just play Halo 3 in BTB done problem solved. Half the complaints on this board, Twitter, Reddit, other websites and from my 400 plus friends I’ve met playing the MCC all agree to this. Doing this would seem solve the biggest issue with this game.
I do agree on having a custom game browser, however unranked playlists are for when I’m not in the mood fo ranked/competitive playlists.

It wouldn’t have to be competitive. I said above keep the ranked matchmaking. It’s more of getting rid of the cross game matchmaking that’s unranked. Let’s say your in the mood for Halo CE or Halo 3 and you want to play BTB for just one game for a couple of rounds you would be guaranteed the game of your choosing and you’ll be playing with people who want to play the same game you do there’s no rank involved.
My friends and I only play the crossplay slayer playlist, so this would probably make us stop playing all together. A custom browser would be great, they’d need to fix join in progress for it to work though.
Halo 5 got it… And… Nobody really cares about that BUT I’ve seen people asking about one for this game ever since so why don’t we get it? This Halo needs it more than ever! This would solve all that cross-game nonsense! They ported most of this junk from PC so I’m sure they can replicate Halo CE’s or 2’s system.
