I have a physical copy of MCC, and have downloaded Nightfall (via in-box code) and Halo Channel. I played the entirety of Halo CEA and watched all of the Terminals with few issues, though occasionally the Halo Channel would crash upon attempting to load the video - if I went back to the game and re-checked the Terminal, it would pretty much always be fine second time.
Only a day or two later, I started Halo 2A, and watched the first terminal as before. However, upon accessing the second Terminal in Outskirts, the game would go to Halo Channel, then it would show me the Halo Channel splash screen, followed by a black screen with rotating circle. It would stay black, or occasionally give me an error message saying that something wasn’t working. Since then, I cannot get any of the videos to work (even the Halo CEA ones that were fine before), even if I access them directly from the Halo Channel (in which it will give me the short “Up Next…” clip before going to the black screen once more. I also noticed that Halo Nightfall is showing as if I do not own it (saying Buy Nightfall instead of View Episode), even though it is installed.
This leads me to believe it is a DRM checking issue, as the rest of Halo Channel works fine. Just the videos that are unlocked in-game and the Nightfall content which must be bought/unlocked.
I have tried:
Restarting my router
Switching off all of my Sky Broadband filters, and later ringing Sky, who confirmed that nothing was being filtered.
Deleting Halo Channel, unplugging my console for 10+ minutes, redownloading Halo Channel
Downloading Halo Channel on my laptop - giving me the same issue I have on the Xbox One version of the app
And nothing seems to work. I have no idea what caused it to suddenly stop working, or any clue as to how to get it working again.
Any help would be massively appreciated. I am pretty frustrated - making the terminal videos external, online content was a terrible idea that cheapens the MCC experience just to promote the channel.
Edit: I’m sorry, I meant to post this in the Support forum, but mistakenly posted it in the general Halo Channel forum.
