Surface maybe. But does that beg the question, does the UNSC / Halo universe really use water (military) forces anymore ? IE: ODST, Orbital Ship transports taking over all the places that are needed to get to quickly

cut halo 3 boats? the submarine in the trailer maybe. what about getting across deep rivers? im not sure but it would be a new addition to the halo vehicle sandbox and to me its welcome

Tactically speaking they should use boats when possible. Using aircraft’s of any kind might be more noticeable when trying to approach enemy territory’s, based on past trailers using a boat might be important in case the Chief has to explore the ocean for ‘secrets’ plus with resources being possibly tight they might not want to announce themselves too much with noise from things like drop pods, etc… Though based on past trailers I don’t think that will be a choice at the moment due to lack of ships in orbit besides the smaller ship or different ships that are seen in both 2018/2019, because there too small for drop pods.

They do, there was an aircraft carrier in either Halo 3 or ODST, one of the two.

Yes, and the carrier was a watercraft, so they still use sea vehicles.

I’m all for it! It would give 343 the chance to throw in something new that hasn’t been done in previous titles.
Not really. I don’t think people really put thought into anything water oriented in a sci-fi video game taking place in space (except in Metroid). I can imagine that being easily overshadowed by air vehicles.

submarines yes but would need some unsc style to it
That would be so dope especially with the speculations of the game being open world. So i would love to see more water vehicles and more air vehicles most definitely.

WHAT ABOUT FIGHTING OFF WATER CREATURES LIKE ALIEN SQUID IN IT
Why not Im all for different ways of war in Halo, land is always fun also was air and space but I think it would be a nice feature for them to put some type of ocean battle in H.I.

Now that is a cool idea… it would be a way to introduce other weapons requiring high skill, like a 16 inch cannon fired with elevation input (not aiming w/sites) or torpedoes with limited fuel and turning radius.
