Maybe she wasn’t taking about Osiris, maybe she was talking about something else.
She spent 3 weeks messing around at that spot. She just bluffing and making stuff up. She knew Jul would tell her to just get on with it. She was waiting. For a while.

I noticed this too and it kinda suprised me how this “little old lady” could notice spartans before Sangheili. It seemed like she tried to distract Jul and others. I guess though she had waited long she was expecting spartans to arrive at any minute.
I don’t think she was speaking about Osiris.

Halsey wanted to be taken in. She requested it and has been stalling for weeks waiting for a UNSC pickup. She wouldn’t be spooked by the UNSC coming to her rescue. If you listen to the dialog, Jul is getting testy about the lack of progress Halsey has been making lately and is threatening her physical safety. Staying too long in one place in the middle of a warzone isn’t safe either. Halsey is still stalling, and trying to give the UNSC the best possibility of saving her. It requires she stay alive, keeping the Covenant troops under her own tempo while staying out of reach of the Prometheans.
Right. The way that scene was directed made it feel like Halsey knew Osiris was right there.
But there’s no logical way she would’ve known, so she was probably just asking to move again to buy more time for the possibility of an extraction sometime in the future. Conveniently, the extraction happened right then lol

I’m pretty sure they were aware of a massive Covenant-Promethean-Human battle taking place just outside, especially when Halsey made contact with the UNSC. She was probably trying to stall them.

You got it right, Scarecrow. That was what I got tfrom that bit.
A few more things to note here… Jul’s guards/attendants want to leave the location they’re in because it’s not safe from the battle outside. Halsey at the time is completely ambivalent about leaving or staying despite the objects of the attendants. Jul wants to stay and for Halsey to make progress, which she doesn’t believe she can do at the pace Jul wants. Halsey, at this point, is trying neither to stay OR leave… simply trying to defuse the attendants and rattle Jul. Pitting them against each other and keeping them off point. In all likelihood this is to distract them. Only once the Spartans take up positions does Halsey say the console she’s at doesn’t serve her purposes and moves away from it.
Halsey has been inside the prmethean data network for weeks, if not longer. Since her request for extraction, it’s almost sure she’s been monitoring the network for signs that UNSC was coming for her. She’s not psychic… she’s just monitoring the situation. You could probably say that her pushing away from the console (and Jul) was a way to give the Spartans a better shot at the Elites without risking herself.
I don’t think there’s any doubt she knows they were there… but she’s not afraid of them.
