Well Osman put a hit on her, Palmer shot her, and now she’s unhappy. Rightfully so.
she wants…REVENGE!

Getting shot by your allies tends to do that to people.
considering all that she has done for the unsc only for them to try and kill her…i would want revenge aswell
Honestly, if I was Halsey, I would do the same thing. She’s been trying to help out and even saved the universe, and in return the UNSC and rest of the humans push her around and tries to kill her. Sarah Palmer even shoots Halsey in the arm and she has to get it amputated by Elites.
I don’t know about you guys, but I would think it is very bad writing if Halsey didn’t want a bit of revenge.
You know what’s funny? ONI supported the Spartan-II AND the Spartan-III Programs and turned 6 year old children into soldiers against their will and then took orphaned children and turned them into suicide soldiers and most of them die before adulthood and yet Halsey got a hit on her by ONI for something that THEY supported and shot in the shoulder.
And for creating the soldiers that saved Humanity, all she gets in return is a bullet lodged in her shoulder and she lost her arm. -_-

It’s going to be really interesting to see how this plays out in possible future seasons of SOps, the books, and especially Halo 5.
She is 60 to 70 years old during Spartan Ops. She gives a eulogy for Spartan B312 (Noble Six) when she is 90. I think this shows she still cares for humanity, or least of all her Spartans.
I think she is just using Jul to get the second half of the key to humanity.

Considering all the Military Regulations, codes, laws et al, she broke; I don´t see how she wasn´t executed right after being rescued.
Parangosky was just to soft…
I was a bit shocked to see that Dr.Halsey has lost an arm and ONI is kinda guilty of everything. I would have them all destroyed except for our friendly operatives here at Section 3. What I don’t like is that Palmer blindly follows orders just like Del Rio. And we all know what happened to him. She may look much better than him, but she deserves the same fate. Halo starts becoming more and more one of those universes where you don’t know who is your ally and who is your foe.

The issue is, is that the UNSC and ONI doesn’t want bad PR from the entire fact that the II and III program used children.
They’re trying to cover their -Yoinks!- by taking Halsey out. Simple as that.

Please explain how she was “too soft”, she’s basically been an annoyance even in the books.
I can understand Halsey wanting revenge, though it should only be directed at ONI.
All Jul has to do is turn over a nursery to her of his species and let her make Spartan Elites. Now where’s your god humanity?

Or they could just keep the Spartan-II and III projects secret so the civilian population doesn’t find out. Halsey was in no rush to leak that out. ONI is just being stupid like it always is.
Everything, From Halsey being shot in the first place, loosing an arm, turning traitor, all of it. The whole shebang. Three Hundred Forty Three Industries stop, just stop. You started your smear campaign against Halsey in grasslands just stop already. Attack ONI if you’re going to attack someone. Why is it every time they do anything with the story I cringe?
