Dr disrespect call 343i dumb over no battle royale

I disagree with him im glad 343 isn’t following the battle royale trend like EA and activision are and no Dr. Disrespect they are not dumb trends always eventually die out good to see 343i not following it

The Doc has a point, though. Halo has all the tools necessary to make a great Battle Royale game. The universe, the lore, the weapons, the landscapes, you name it. This is one of the trends I wish 343 actually followed, but as a separate spin-off title. As in, don’t try to mix it into Halo Infinite, because a Halo Battle Royale experience is something that must be built from the ground up in every aspect.

a spin off maybe definitely not in a main line game

Halo could make a great Battle Royale game, but kudos to 343 for not madly chasing after the crowd simply because it’s popular at the moment. 343 needs to focus on making a good Halo game and nothing more. They have had bits and pieces of Halo 4 and Halo 5 that were really great, but marred by different design choices. If they can nail down what works while eliminating the junky parts, Infinite will shape up to be one of the best Halo games we have had since the first 3 halos.

Dr Disrespect is also a character he plays, a persona he assumes while streaming. Things he says while in-character shouldn’t be taken 100% seriously.

I think they may have some ideas considering this game is so ambitious they needed a completely new engine which is insane in it of itself

Yeah i’m sure. I think Infinite deserves a new engine. Halo is old and needs new life injected into it. Hoping 343 pulls off something incredible.

looks very promising with the visual fidelity we seen so far

I’m more in the line of thinking it’s due to PR and licensing, which led to a new engine, seeing as engines get updated to suit the needs of the game planned for it.

If I had the man-power and knowledge, I could recreate any Halo using the Unreal Engine 4.

As far as what Dr: Disrespect said, i343 could easily create a spin-off title focusing on a Battle Royal mode, but what for?
What kind of pull would a Halo battle royal have? What kind of mechanics would be unique to it which sets it apart from all the other ones, and which would warrant a large enough population? For there to be something good, there need to be a worthwhile idea behind it which isn’t just “let’s make it because we can, and everyone else is doong it”.

And ehat chimera said earlier.

We don’t really need yet another topic discussing Battle Royale, already have a few of those kicking around. Feel free to use one of the active ones
