When can we download maps from old Halo games or other people’s custom maps? I am currently working on one and want others to share it. But I even miss some custom maps such as slide and such, does anyone know when we can do such things? Any ideas would be appreciated!
There is no file browser, and one has not been announced. You still have a fileshare though. Put it up on your fileshare and advertise in you bio. That’s the best we can do atm.

Which is just sad…feels like a major step back.

Right? Even Halo 3 had one on Bungie.net. I could understand going back to PC only file browser, but none at all?
Hopefully it will be patched in soon.

You can still download old halo maps (at least Halo 4), though it is quite an awful experience. Go to Halo 4 Stats for the map author, view more, then the last icon on the left is the file browser. Once you click on that I believe you need to click the double arrow to see the authors share.
Halo 4 had file browser issues for the first 3-4 months after launch, so I don’t think this is a sign that they got rid of it. A “We’re working on it and it’s coming soon” would be the proper thing to do, but I think all we can do is hope the major problems get fixed soon so they have time for the browser.

You cannot download maps from previous Halo games. A solution Ducain23 came up with is finding the gamertag on the leaderboards. He mentions the campaign level, difficulty, and gamertag for his map showcases. Seems to be the best thing to do until a full file browser is up.

You can download maps for games that were originally on Xbox 360 (i.e. Halo 4). You cannot download anything related to MCC. Kind of seems like you misunderstood his question, but if you read my post above you would see that I already described how to do this.
Any update on these? Would love to be able to download old halo 3 maps… they’re even still on my old bungie profile
Anything that was on your File Share from Halo 3, Halo 4, and Halo Reach was mass transferred over months back. They won’t be doing it again. Best bet is to recreate it in Forge. With the exception of Screenshots and films.
