Downloading latest data

So i having an issue when i go to play multiplayer on MCC a messages appears “downloading latest data” Wtf is happening please any help here?!

Been there done that! Unfortunately, there have been a lot of reports about this happening after additional ranks have been added to H2, H3, H4, CE, etc. There are a myriad of solutions that range from simple to very frustrating and seem to vary between individuals. Many people have reported that the issue resolved itself and went away after some time. Others say that they let the message stay on the screen for a minute, canceled out, then clicked “find game” and their game started working again. Some just had to quit their game and restart. If those things are not working, quit your game by backing out to the dashboard, click start with your halo game selected, scroll down and hit “quit”. From here, open “my games and apps”, find halo, highlight it, click start and click “manage game”. This should take you to a screen titled “Manage Halo: The Master Chief Collection”. Scroll to the right to “saved data” and hit start. Click “delete data” which will bring up a prompt asking where you want to delete the data from and select “delete everywhere”. You will lose your control schemes, load-outs, avatar, nameplates, etc., but it will not affect your campaign progress or anything major that you cannot easily fix (you will still have all your nameplates/avatars, you will just have to reselect them). After this, turn off your xbox by holding your finger on the power button until the system shuts down. This is done to clear the Xbox’s cache. To ensure this process is complete, unplug the power cord from the BACK OF THE XBOX to drain any power that might remain. Leave the system unplugged for about thirty seconds then plug the cord back in. Wait for the light on the power brick to go from white to yellow before turning the system back on. Hopefully when you boot up your system and start MCC you will be able to search for games in matchmaking. If this doesn’t work, keep reading… GOOD LUCK!

If you have the exact same problem that I had (and I hope you don’t) then you will have to go a step further. I did everything I wrote above, but although it was working for what seemed like everybody else, I was still getting that frustrating “downloading latest data” message." To finally resolve, I had to quit my app, deleted my data under “manage game”, then I had to uninstall my game. After uninstalling, I cleared my cache by shutting down my system and unplugging as mentioned above. Then I had to reinstall WITHOUT using the disc. Yes, I had to download the entire 62 GB game which took about 30 hrs on my slow 6MB connection. I tried reinstalling using the disc 3X, but each time I was still getting that error. You may want to initially try reinstalling using the disc as this has worked for some people, but mine would not work until I reinstallled without the disc.

TIP: MAKE SURE YOU DELETE YOUR DATA AGAIN BEFORE YOU UNINSTALL AND DON’T ACCESS THE GAME UNTIL IT IS %100 COMPLETE.

Well, I hope this helps. If none of these steps work. Then I would sell the game and buy one made by a company who knows what they are doing. I love halo, but I have never been more frustrated with a game in my life!! Again…Good luck!

Try… Clear the Blu-ray storage: Settings → Disc & Blu-Ray → Persistent Storage → Clear Persistent Storage (do this 3 times)
