Everytime I go to find a Multiplayer game I get a message saying: “Downloading Latest Data. + Downloading the latest matchmaking data. Please Wait.” I cannot get past this I have waited for more than 2 hours on it… And also Hard reset, Power drained, Re downloaded account and still no success! Please Help me!
Delete the save game cache for the game, I hear that has helped some people, but it also has some consequences like losing playlist progress and such.
This is a pretty tough issue mate, sorry if I can’t help much. 343i is dropping a new content update soon, hoping it fixes your issue.
Unheard how do I delete the save game cache? And also while I’m here when does th update release?
Can anyone else please helppppp…
Here’s how
- From the Home screen, select My games & apps. - Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game. - Scroll to the right, highlight the saved data for your gamertag under Saved Data, and then press A on your controller. You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the game which has helped others resolve the issue.
I am re installing I will keep you updated it should be done tommorow!
I hope it solves your problem!
Just wait for 3-4 minutes, then hit cancel
Go back to main menu, open up Halo multiplayer again and it should work,
You will never see download data complete but it is completed.
I always do it like this on every update, dont want to risk any saved data.
I have been having the same issues nothing seems to resolve it so now 2 days later I am frustrated we still have no word from 343.
I had got so tired of it I just re-installed now seeming to work perfect!

That is scary advice, i couldn’t imagine having to do the campaigns again…
Here is what I suggest:
- Try by going to Xbox Home and press start on the game; the. Go down to exit game. Then relaunch the game.
- If that doesn’t work check your connectivity, this could have to do with your issue. Try resetting your router/modem.
- Do a hard reset on the console by exiting all games and apps, then go up to the console and hold down the power button until it powers down. Wait 2 minutes then turn it back on.
- Go My games and apps > Apps > Disc & Blu-ray > Persistent storage > clear persistent storage. Your going to want to clear it three times so your sure it’s clear. Then reload Halo: Master Cheif Collection.
- If all else fails please contact live Xbox support at support.xbox.com
