Downloading file share clips to PC

Is there anything 343i could do to fix this? Since i’m currently mainly Reach player and i have some clips in my file share that i want to download to my computer. Dear 343i, can you make the downloading a reality?

Reach is a 5 year old game… 343i no longer actively support it.

I know that… But it would be great if they could update the systems just a little bit :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah but 343i needs to work on their micro transactions and waste time and resources on other things.

Well, there’s lots of things that 343i needs to fix. For now you can just hope

There is a clunky workaround to getting this done, it won’t be perfect but it is a kind of solution. The most obvious solution is to hook up a capture card to your 360 and record the clips from there, but I know not everyone has access to that. If you have an Xbox One at your disposal though, you can utilize the Game DVR feature to record and save clips.

Load up Reach on your X1 and access your file share clips
Depending on how long the clip is you can either:

  • Double tap the home button to record the last 30 seconds or - Snap the Game DVR before you play the clip, start recording and then stop recording after the clip finishesOnce you have all your clips saved, go to the Upload Studio app on your X1
From there you can trim off any extra bits that were recorded, add some fancy extra bits (titles or whatever), put a few clips together, etc.
When you’re ready, publish the clip and make sure to also upload it to OneDrive - you can Access OneDrive on your PC or mobile and download the clip as a MP4 file
Alternatively, after you have published, you can launch the YouTube app and upload clips directly to your YouTube account

Bit clunky as I said, but it worked decently for me for some Destiny and Halo clips. I back up most of my clips to OneDrive and then upload to YouTube.
Hope that helps anyone out
