Downloading Digital copy of Halo 5 to play early?

Hey guys I have seen alot of people are playing the Halo 5 campaign already (excluding multiplayer) if I download the digital copy can I access the game before the release date and play the story?

No. People that are currently playing were given the game as a “press release” version so that the game may be reviewed and earn notoriety.

Okay thanks for clearing that up! Getting really annoying seeing HaloFollower and ReadyUpLive uploading videos of the campaign.

Yeah you’ll see Streamers with early copies but us mere peasants need to wait until Tuesday, it’s a shame really because it’d be nice to play it over the weekend when I’m not working.

Tuesday is a terrible release day.

Those people playing have reviewer copies. They were given to reputable critics and Youtube/Twitch celebrities. The game is preloaded when you preorder the retail version, but you can’t play until release.

Most games are released on Tuesdays or Sundays.

Yeah I know, and it’s terrible.

I wish you could but you cant… I was hoping to get it early with the digital deluxe version. But as far as I know some retailers like game and gamestop are releasing Halo 5 copies early as Ive seen on facebook so you could try and get it from there… And if you dont get it, you can always file a complaint seeing how badly they messed up releasing it early and not letting you get a copy.

Nope gotta wait until launch. Physical copies can go offline and play campaign but offline only and I think its frowned upon
