Ok, I am an old school disc jockey, I’ve never downloaded a full game other then free “old” Xbox 360 games. I did buy a 4TB hard drive but still pre-ordered Halo 5 on disc. Now my work is sending me on a 2 week trip to Texas on Monday and I will most likely bring my One because I want to play Halo 5 campaign and sorry north west Texas but there is nothing to do there.
My question is if I download Halo 5 today will I be able to play it offline on my Xbox in a hotel on release. I know there is a 9GB update at release and even if I can get my Xbox connected in a hotel there is absolutely NO WAY I can download that in a hotel so the disc option is out. So if I download it now will I be able to play it offline on release, or will i have to at least sign in to unlock it? Do I even need the update to play the campaign? I looked online and found no real clear answer so i’m hoping someone here can help me out. I can bridge the connection through my computer as most hotels have a log in for wifi.
So, should I buy a disc out there, download it now or say screw it and wait?
