Doubts about H2A

In regards to the various teases and the on going speculation about H2A has lead me to some concerns that have to be addressed.

  1. Are the old Halo 2 glitches, bugs and balancing issues corrected?

  2. Is Halo 2 going to be a complete package or lacking the some or all of the DLC maps?

  3. Is Halo 2 Anniversary’s launch going to be lost among the pack of the all yearly major fall releases?

  4. Can a HD version of ten year old classic game really get a ton of previous gamers to return to Halo?

  5. Could they add to or alter anything in H2A that wasn’t part of the original game?

  1. If there’s no Matchmaking, I’d prefer all the glitches and bugs to be retained (especially in Campaign; or maybe there could be a “Glitch Skull” of some sort). If there is, fix them in Matchmaking and add the fixes as Custom Games options or something.

  2. If there’s even Multiplayer at all, I’d like to see all the maps, including DLC and Vista-exclusive maps, unlocked by default.

  3. That’d depend on many unknown factors.

  4. Again, it depends. I’d like to think so, but there’s really no way of knowing for sure until it happens; or doesn’t.

  5. It’s all about options. If said additions or alternations don’t intrude too much or completely overwrite anything from the original game, I don’t see why not. Some deleted content and missions would be nice, as would a skull menu, Forge, Theatre, a few armour permutations like ODST, and more Custom Games options.
