Doubt: WILL 343 deliver season 2 on time?

These are how one would PROPERLY make the stories at hand.

The worry isn’t that they’ll get the season out on time, it’s that the season will be dull (boring maps/game modes), take a long time to deliver on content, recycle content (store, 6 week tenrai 2.0), and potentially be 6 months again.

Basically guaranteed. 343 cannot make good maps. They’re obsessed with generic arena maps. Adding 2 more arena maps is going to make me uninstall for real until Forge. No more arena maps. That BTB map better not be full of rocks and trenches again.

Ah, yes, because everyone loves earning the same emblem 4 times, right guys? We also love 200 shades of blue.

You’ll be lucky if they don’t break multiplayer again, let alone deliver additional new event content for a month.

Not gonna lie, if we get Season 3 and Forge before December, it would be a miracle. This has to be the slowest updating live service game in the history of games. Halo 5 had Forge already by now

*laughs at the fact that it most likely will be since they want to emphasize the mobility of a Spartan and their equipment rather than the actual fun that BTB is supposed to be with vehicles.

Thanks to Skybox Labs developing it for them.

Eh, Haven was an S-tier map IMO and easily 343’s best map. And it ASTONISHES me that they wouldn’t reuse it. Bungie never seemed to have an issue with reusing maps, and sometime their best iteration was in a later game. CE:A plays great with Reach’s jetpacks for instance.

As for BTB, this is true. 343 still doesn’t know how to build a map around a vehicle circuit. Ironically, Behemoth might be the best BTB map in this game.

Bold of you to assume you’ll be able to earn these emblems as opposed to paying for them.

Just having Forge wouldn’t be enough anyways. We need file share/browser, improved custom games options, plus it will take forgers time to even make maps and even longer for 343 to approve maps for spots in the Matchmaking rotation.

Just had to check to see if “CA_” (Certain Affinity) was in the map file name. Sadly it isn’t, so 343 actually did a good.

Also it did get remade as Mercy in Halo 5 Gorbians.

I think he is talking about the Weekly Ultimate Rewards being quite lack-luster.

We do have file-share in Infinite. It is just a useless program right now.

And it’s the best goshdarn map in that that isn’t a forge map.

Yeah, i was just poking fun.

Yeah…

Not really. ForgeHub hosts Forge maps from all past Halo titles, and some of their users pump out new sick maps in only a week or so.

Yeah we need more custom games options, but the good news is we can have some good BTB maps, and if we spawn CTF flags on the wrong sides, it becomes Assault instead, bringing the enemy flag to their base. We could make a handful of neat maps and modes while waiting for Infection, the core ultimate custom game making mode.

I don’t want 343 to put Forge maps in the matchmaking rotation. They need to quit being lazy and make their own good maps for a change. Halo 4 was like 90% Forge maps. Most of us want Forge for Bungie map ports and vehicles at base BTB, but custom fun games can come later.

We don’t really need a Customs Browser to play customs. Before MCC and Halo 5 had it, we all just used Xbox LFG, HaloBase and BeerKeg

Oh I don’t doubt the forgers’ capabilities at all. Those people are gift’s from God. But they still have to learn to use the new forge, familiarize themselves with the canvas(es) there’s a new scripting tool and like I said, 343 would have to internally test maps themselves before putting them in MM. And we already know 343 is kind of slow when updating this game. So maps that take a week to make could take a month or 2 to actually be open to the public.

I do. Because forgers have consistently made better maps than the devs since Reach. As players themselves, I feel they have a more complete understanding of the types of maps other players would like to see.

I agree that 343 needs to stop treating forge as a crutch. But frankly I’d rather have s-tier, lego-land maps over super pretty, 12K, f-tier maps that’ll get removed from the rotation anyways (see behemoth).

Lol fair but 343 said they want to eventually port every past Halo map, so I don’t want them to just cheap out and use Forge maps instead. I mean idc if they did make faithful ports in Forge of Bungie maps, but I have my doubts

If we can script AI, we are making Firefight ASAP

I don’t care about anything coming in season 2. Hurry up season 3

Every map? I’m not gonna name names, but they’re some maps that shouldn’t come back.

According to 343, Halo Infinite’s 10 year plan was to port MCC and Halo 5, as well as maybe other titles, to Infinite, to have one big ultimate Halo experience. So far, it’s not even close to our expectations. CE maps worked great in Reach CE:A, so they’d be great with Grapple too. Bring on the CE maps. Bring on Blood Gulch

It definitely won’t be since it’s already been delayed.
But I think the new release date might be possible.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner.

Heresy !

Now now, Halo 5 uses the same map and object files as Infinite. 343 can easily import Halo 5 content and sell it as a new core and assassination animations (they probably will), but mostly I just want those BTB and Warzone maps. Anything but the 3 maps we have now. Please.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

Only the gooooooooooooooooooooood shall be portedl.

Leave the kids-toy armors and cinge-fiction story out of it.

You know, people can bash on H5 all they want, but at this stage in its life H5 had probably 10,000 combinations of Spartan armor and colors all available through simply playing the game (plus dozens of coatings for all weapons), and in Infinite I literally have like one option per armor slot because I don’t break out my wallet, and forget about weapon or vehicle coatings

Also, the servers and netcode were stable which was nice

Also, it was already rotating ranked maps and keeping that playlist fresh (oh, and it had ranked Slayer, pepperidge farm remembers), unlike the unbelievably stale Infinite

I’m kind of getting tired of pretending H5 didn’t have a much better multiplayer experience at this stage after release than infinite
