Yeah I would agree - I would like it for halo 2 and 3 as well.
Trouble is, if you make too many playlists, you separate the community too much. It would be OK if you had a DAU of 10 million, but I suspect with HMMC being an Xbox One exclusive and the fact they pissed everyone off by releasing a beta version of the game, there are considerably less players playing.
Which means they will keep the number of playlists low, to keep the number of players per playlist higher so that games are found quicker.
