Hello fellow players, Doubles is broken. Absolutely broken!
I’m not being funny or salty. But I play against champions, onyx’s ect, And I get paired with friggin mentally challenged players. Like, what? What on earth is this?
I’m playing Doubles a ‘Competitive’ gametype and I’m getting paired with people myself and my opponents are complete leagues ahead.
Has anyone else experienced this when searching alone in Doubles? Which, by the way. I have the right to do so and shouldn’t have to roll with another player.
If you ask me, Doubles should be strictly confined in regards to skill. And you just shouldn’t be able to play it if you’ve just started. At the very least get qualified in a different playlist, reach a particular rank to unlock the playlist. Something, maybe have a separate playlist for people within the Ranks of Diamond/Onyx/Champion?
Thoughts on this, please. Because this has happened to me multiple times when it shouldn’t really even happen once.

What else were you expecting from 343?
Doubles is tricky, especially for solo players. I also feel like the population for it is pretty small, so just getting matched up with another team might be difficult in itself (especially if you’re a better player). Unfortunately this isn’t Halo 2/3 (or even the first few months of 4) anymore, and the population of the game is a lot smaller, especially in fringe playlists like doubles.
I think the best option would be to only allow parties in it. From my experience, if you go into it solo, it’s 75% of the time scrubs that are just wondering what the playlist is, or are exploring it, and 25% people who are close to your skill range. And that’s not even considering the people you’re matched up against.
Doubles is so broken, which is shame, coz it could be a really good playlist.
Never get fair matches either way - its either against champion and Onyx or silvers!
Once I get placement I find it hard to find a reason to return to it.
I’ve never been a big fan of doubles. Too many “try hards”. Ill stick to unranked, social, and Warzone playlists
