I meant to make this just after Doubles was done the other weekend, but just been too busy with life lol
I thought the Doubles playlist was good, but feel like the following changes need to happen
1: Ammo on power weapons needs to be reduce. No power weapon in doubles should be reloaded unless you pick up more ammo. Sniper should spawn with 4 shots, Rockets 2, etc.
2: Radar should be increased to 20 or 25m I feel. The maps are bigger now due to Spartan Abilities and my friend and I felt that a lot of the times we were just wondering around looking for people. If radar is increased this should lead to more engagements I think.
3: I’m not sure about this one, but would like to hear what other think (as well as on the other suggestions of course) but was thinking the re-spawn timers for power weapons and/or power ups timers should be increased . Weapons especially I felt spawned way too often, but maybe this wouldn’t be as bad if the ammo amounts were decreased.
What does everyone think? Any other suggestions/ideas? Can’t wait for Doubles to come back!! You can bet I’ll be voting for it every time until it’s a permanent playlist 
I made this thread at the wrong time (hence no replies lol) but now seems to be a more appropriate time so I’m bring it back. Just want to reintegrate that ammo amounts really needs to be changed for power weapons. 8 shots in sniper, 4 in rockets etc. is just ridiculous!!!

You think it will become permanent? I quite like doubles even though I’m not very good at it but I’m beginning to think it isn’t going to be a permanent playlist in Halo 5.

I desperately hope this playlist stays permanent. 343 has nothing to lose by keeping it on the table at all times. It’s an EXCELLENT team-building playlist if you’ve got a guy on a team who needs some one-on-one practice, and it’s always been a highly competitive playlist. I do hope they keep it full time.
Should do away with Power weapons during Doubles. Its all good but its just easy prey when you wait for the other team to swarm the sniper or rockets, rinse and repeat.
I like to see a range of power weapons used, its always the same on the same map, Plasma Caster, Sniper, Rockets.
I just like to see doubles where I know where my partner is who has no Mic…not after he is killed and a Red X appears. Always running off on their own once I turn my back.
I agree that Power Weapons should be somewhat limited in a Doubles playlist… like instead of Sniper and Rockets on Coliseum for example, let it be one or the other. Maybe throw Rockets on the Top-Mid platform…
And with a map like Truth, maybe replace Camo with Scattershot and put a Sword at Top-Mid… or leave Sword where it is, and put a Railgun Top-Mid.
Really, it’s all about minimalizing the power-ups and weapons-on-map, but in a meaningful way IMO.
It is just a really a race to control power weapon spawns or overshields at the moment. A lot more fast paced then I would of expected from a doubles playlist.

Amen to that. I have been thinking about the Rail on Truth and how much better that weapon would be. The Caster is totally useless on this map. I love camo on any map. But the Rail and Scattershot would be perfect.
I agree with everything except radar. It’s fine. No radar is even fine. I don’t understand why everyone complains about the radar so much. You shouldn’t have to even use it.
Yeah, now is PRIME-TIME for this playlist to stay permanent… You’ve got (hopefully) a large wave of new players coming in from the holidays and they’ll see that Doubles in available and they’ll hopefully stick around. Same with Snipers…
The fact that 343 is putting 2v2 and Snipers gametypes in MM during the holidays shows that they KNOW that these gametypes need to be permanent, if you ask me. They just need to pull the trigger for good, and I don’t know what they’re waiting for!
