Double XP or Playlist Rotation this weekend?

Aside from the patch notes and updates coming in November, I didn’t see anything related to a playlist rotation or double xp in the community update. Any news if either is happening this weekend?

I haven’t seen anything as well, came on here hoping for some news. I’ll follow this topic and update if i see/hear anything

Haven’t heard anything either, kind of surprised it wasn’t mentioned in the latest new posts with the recent big news that got announced recently.

I don’t think double XP is going to be a weekly thing anymore and we still have the H3 playlist in rotation probably because it’s still popular.

I don’t think it will either but I suspect it might end up being 1 time every 2nd week but if not then I suspect the double exp weekends will return when Scorpio comes out or near Xmas.

Same but I guess they wanted the focus to be on the current news thing they announced this week, hopefully double exp returns next weekend since I doubt there will be anymore news to overshadow until the week before Scorpio’s release.

I’m not surprised. Everyone is consumed by the HCS finals this weekend and that’s where they want people’s attention.

I don’t understand why they think this because I can’t think of a single person anywhere that even cares about that plus there’s no reason why they should effect my game-time when I’m still more likely to ignore the HCS, in fact all it does is encourage me to take a break from Halo because ranking up is already a pain as it is.

Some people enjoy it, some don’t.

As far as I can tell, a lot of it is insufficient staffing. Most of the “sustain” and community folks seem involved with HCS, and this is their premier eSports event, so everything else goes by the wayside. It’s the way 343 has always operated.

Sure but that’s the point. Not everyone cares about HCS, I’m sure they probably could have automated the servers to turn on double weekend event automatically on weekends if they wanted to.

They ditched double XP after the summer. Anything now is at their pleasure.

No kidding. Honestly, I wish the Spartan ranking system was designed differently so the XP between levels was reasonable and made sense.

Sure but the later ranks just ends up becoming more tedious. It’s like I’m due to go from 4million to 6million then I’m forced to do over 10 million+ for the last 2 ranks. Even my friends are joking about it because every time I rank up…they probably rank up about 10 times.
