Double XP and challenges added

I was wondering why 343 hasn’t done any double xp weekends yet. It would be a great way to get some of the community back. They wouldn’t have to do many because they don’t want to hurt their req sales but maybe every update or something would fun.

Also 343 should add challenges like in halo reach where you would get daily weekly and monthly challenges that would reward you req points. It wouldn’t have to be much but would be fun to have some arena, warzone, firefight, and campaign challenges that could reward us with some reqs. It would also fill up other game types and give us a reason to go back to the campaign.

Expamples

daily: kill 25 players with headshots
weekly: kill 250 players with req weapons
monthly: kill 1000 enemy AI in campaign or warzone

I’ll let 343 decide on the rewards.

It’ll make it a little faster without taking money out of 343s hands. The challenges will also give you a goal to log onto everyday.

I think I created a thread like this ages ago, and my postition in favor of the addition of challenges hasn’t changed. It’d provide incentive to play at least once a day, encourage players to try new things (this depends on the challenge, of course), and relieve some of the RP and XP grind at no noticable harm to the Req pack market.

I vote “Yes” for challenges in Halo 5. Whether or not my vote here makes any difference is yet to be determined.

and the daily win packs, but they aren’t really exciting or challenging to get

Double xp while it would be nice with all the boost and jackpots I feel it’s not really needed… however I would love to see the daily, weekly, and monthly challenges come back. I would rather have them pay out RP though. The challenges could be anything from arena, warzone or even score attack stuff so there would be an actual reason to play score attack.

I’d be fine with Challenges for multiplayer and Campaign. It was one of the better parts of Halo 4 that I enjoyed.

Challenges would be great to have back. You can weave XP/RP into the challenge completion. Don’t necessarily need xp or rp double weekends.

I’d love to get double XP. The boost cards are a joke. (the majority of them anyway) Feels like I’ve been 146 for a year now.

I think that you should earn RP from playing campaign like in Reach. This will allow you to still unlock everything in the game when the population dies out (like Reach). Challenges are coming back in HW2 (I think), and they would be really nice in Halo 5 as well.

From someone who is at SR149, which isn’t even half way to SR152, double XP weekends would greatly be appreciated. lol

For those missing what I mean when I say “half way” to SR152, it takes 24 million total XP to reach SR150, and 50 million total XP to reach SR152. So half way is just past SR150. With the insane amount of playtime I’ve already put in and I’m not even half way, I don’t envision myself ever reaching it without some serious boost like double XP or even triple. lol

I think double xp weekends would be awesome to bring back! I loved those in Halo 3!

double xp, along with daily and weekly challenges would certainly help bring me back to playing the game more often.

I used to enjoy seeing those challenges pop up, I think it would be a nice feature to bring back.

With Christmas coming up there will be a few new players coming in and a double rp and xp weekend would really help them catch up
