Double Experience Weekends

Who remembers the double experience weekends from Halo 3? Those used to give me extra motivation to play (and try to win), so that I could rank up twice as fast as normal. I know that experience is mostly a wash in Halo 4 because of how easy it is to rank up to SR130 (I did it in less than six months post release), but wouldn’t it be cool to see some other weekend motivator return to Halo 4?

I have so many other games I am/could be playing now (GTA V, ACIV, Arkham Origins), but I would love to see something tangible return to Halo 4 that would give me a specific time and reason to come back. I played all day for the one year anniversary because they offered the “Guilty” emblem, so something along those lines would work. It just seems that other than a rotating hopper of playlists that should be in the game to begin with, I am not given much of a reason by the studio to keep playing Halo 4. I mean hell, even a DLC only playlist for the weekends would bring me back, because I never see those maps. I nearly skeeted myself last week when I got Pitfall in a doubles map, it was the first DLC map I got to play on since Champions launch.

I think that this would be a great idea. It could promote more play…but considering how easy it is to rank up in Halo 4, I can’t see it being too useful after a while.
Also the DLC Playlist would be great(though it should be restricted to DLC owners, but maybe as long as they have one set of DLC?)

Right, that’s the main flaw I see in it as well. It would be good for new players (do those even exist anymore in Halo 4?), but to bring back the crowd that came out in droves upon release but lost interest, there needs to be something more tangible. DLC only playlist for DLC owned users is the only thing I can currently think of.

The only thing I want to know is what Happened to the Waypoint Challenges in Halo 4? I think there has only been 2 at the most since the game was released. I think the last time I saw one in the Challenges menu was last Christmas.
