Double EXP and legendary packs for warzone

Putting double exp for a month again more legendary packs in the store, it would be the easiest way to get up to 152 in a faster way, the question is if this season of exp will return for players who still want to level up before the output of halo infinite ??

Having double XP for a whole month as well as the boost pack seemed more of a holiday festivity. I think it might come back in some form or another, but not for a while. Also, if they make them available too often, they might lose their value as the people who are already SR152 grinded to it without them. I’m grinding to there myself, but I’m not sure if the packs will be back soon anytime.

This wouldn’t work. They can’t keep legendary xp boosts available as it wouldn’t be fair to the people who grinder hard without them to get to 152. It will stay as it’s always been so there’s no disadvantage.

They’ve always been rotational and will be brought back at appropriate times/events to keep them special.

That said… between 03/04/21 and 04/03/21 (or for non-US dates: (04/03/21 and 03/04/21) you could make the argument it’s 343 month (4th day of the third month, 2+1 is 3)… if 343 were looking for an excuse to bring double XP back soon there are certainly worse ones.

That said, however, as it’s not in the Playlist Calendar from the last community update (as stckrboy keeps us so well updated with at: Playlist Calendar | Halo 5: Guardians | Forums | Halo - Official Site (halowaypoint.com) I somehow doubt it, but a man can dream.

The global double XP for lockdown last year was a total one-off, the 5th anniversary month was obviously special and they often do something for Haloween anyway. Realistically the next likely candidate I can see might be US Spring Break in early April, memorial Day in late May, Juneteenth maybe. For a longer term global double XP I’d be surprised if we saw anything major this side of summer.

Lmao what do you think people used to get there? Common xp boosts? Everyone i know used legendary xp boosts to get to 152. Besides buying said packs require alot of in-game time anyway. 150.000 rp is alot to reach.

Yes but again, if they’re always available for RP people can just save for them only: then games of Warzone and WZFF would be filled with no one using reqs because they ran out and don’t want to buy more. If it’s so absolutely critical for people to always have Legendary XP Boosts they’re buyable on the MS store all the time for real money - the fact 343 make them available for in-game currency occasionally is actually a service to those in the community who can’t/don’t want to deal with MTX.

If this pack was permanently available in the req store, then this strategy would be far from the most optimal as it’s impossible to create a self sustainable strategy if you use Leg. XP Boosts in every single WZ game. In fact, the player would only be able to use Leg. In fact, if the player grinds XP in Mythic WZ FF, then the player would only be able to use Leg. XP Boosts in slightly less than 50% of the games due to the expected req point gain from each game is a bit less than half of the required req point gains in order to make a Leg. XP Boost for every game strategy self sustainable.

Alright then… so there’s your answer for why they’re not permanently available then

I never asked for making it premanent. Once every few months is fine by me.

I don’t know why these packs aren’t permanent. However, it’s probably better these packs are only seen at rare occasions as these packs can result in improved xp payouts from boosts by up to around 50%.

Once again… because no one reads or sees any other posts. WE DON’T NEED ANY MORE FAVORS from 343. You want to grind for 152… play the game and earn xp. The games been out for 5 years and there’s no reason for them to start giving things away. Again (because this topic hasn’t been brought up before)… by making legendary boosts long term or permanent or even temporarily raising xp (permanent 2 or 3xp) unless it’s for something like they’ve already done (like the holidays or special 343 event), it not only cheapens the rewards you get for achieving 152 (both in Halo 5 and Halo Infinite), but it also disrespects and throws away the hard work, effort and energy that others have already achieved. The only thing I see them doing (and about the only way I’d really be ok with), is if they were to do something in the last few weeks before Infinite launch they were to raise the xp bar slightly or put legendary packs up for the remainder of Halo 5’s shelf life… but that’s about all I see them doing, and I even see that as being a stretch. To do anything more than that would risk alienating Halo’s hardcore fans in favor of appeasing the “jonny come latelys” and those who are looking for a handout or don’t want to put the work in required to attain a milestone.
