So I live in Canada and apparently today was the start of Doritos and Mountain Dew hitting shelves in Canada. I heard somewhere on Waypoint that the Double Xp codes are not on inside of the bags or bottles, but on the outside where EVERYONE can see. Now, doesn’t this mean that people can just write the code down and type it in, stealing the code and making it unavailable for use for the rightful owner of the Doritos/Mtn Dew? Why would they do this? Couldn’t they just put a small paper thing inside of the Doritos bag or under the cap in small characters of each Mountain Dew?
This is another Halo 4 mess and I hope it gets resolved. At least make it so that one code can be entered in many times, but only once by each user (so that the people who buy the Doritos and Mtn Dew actually get their codes).
Will you be one of the people who write the codes down? If people do that, I’m tempted to do that as well. However, wouldn’t the cashier be a bit suspicious or wonder what the heck I’m doing? Last time I did this kind of thing was when I wrote Bionicle codes on the back of the Lego Bionicle boxes.
How will 343/Doritos and Mtn Dew solve this, if they even come up with a resolution?
Mountain Dew codes are under the cap and or inside the box. So unless you open it you won’t get it. The Doritos codes are on the outside but if someone has written/taken a photo of it don’t worrie. They can be entered twice. Once for one gamer I’d and again for another.
Huh, never knew that. I’ve been absent from the forums for a week or two. That’s actually not bad. You don’t have to worry about someone stealing your Doritos code because you can type it in as well. And Mtn Dew codes are under the cap, so you don’t have to worry about that either. Awesome!
I’m not going to write the codes down, but I’m curious, if I were to write the codes down off of Doritos bags, could I get in trouble for it? Just wondering.
I’m sure you could in some way. But, i dont know for sure. As one of my friends told me. If a worker at the store asks you why your taking a picture of a Doritos bag say its a scavenger hunt for your church. LMFAO!
lol, yeah I guess that could work. I’ve gone on church “scavenger hunts” before but all the kids didn’t even hunt for anything lol. If Doritos codes can be used twice, what will happen if people start sharing their codes on the internet? Will this anger 343?

It is against the rules on the www.dewxp.com site, no idea if they’ve ever taken action on people who do it.
