i’ve been thinking for awhile, but never got the chance to share it with you guys, do you guys think 343i would be able to export Halo 2 multiplayer to XLA, basically, it will only have 1 map and 2 gametypes
Map = Coagulation (i know, ironic)
Gametypes = CTF and Slayer (Free for all)
as for the other maps, you’d be able to buy them off as addons, think about it, buying something that shipped with halo 2 would be worth it, 500 msp per (map)pack, 2 maps and a gametype or something, you know?
In my own opinion, i think it will be a… lets say… win - win? fans get to get what they’ve been wanting since the shutdown of OXL (Original Xbox Live), and microsoft would make more money that way.
Discuss, (i was rushing, and made sure my opinion wasn’t as hard to understand)
As a person who played over 18000 Halo 2 games, I would probably rarely play what you described.
It would be alright, but I would need the full MM experience to get back into Halo 2. That includes a decent population which will never happen because people are stupid and play the latest game regardless.
Also I hate FFA
^this. it would be possible but not fun and unefficient.
They need to just do a straight port of Halo 2’s online MP and make it a MP only XBLA title with Live functionality. People would play this.
Will* sorry, i type fast and barely look back for any errors i made, anyways, i think that would be a sweet idea, but hey, that’s just my opinion, i really appreciate your opinions to, wether your agreeing with me or not.

I would gladly pay $60 for this.
Really didnt think out your idea that much did you?
Here are 3 much better options.
-
Port Halo 2 Vista MP code to 360, improve netcode, keep resolution in 1080p and bump the FPS up to 60FPS and sell on XBLA for $15 or $20
-
Make a complete Halo 2 map pack and game options for Halo 4 or Halo 5
-
Just do a HD remaster of Halo 2 like they are doing for CEA
