Don't you guys have anything better to do?

Like, everyone. Including myself. All anyone seems to do anymore is whine, whine about the whining, and then whine at each other over the intricacies of who is whining and who isn’t.

Let’s all take a step back, change our diaper, and ride a bike, or go to an aquarium, or paint a -Yoink- watercolor.

Did I just open a REQ pack full of irony?

Morgan Freeman once said that the only way to stop racism was to stop talking about it.

I believe the same principle can be applied to negativity in online communities.

And before anyone jumps down my throat, no I am not saying complaining is the same as racism.

I agree that people should stop the whining. In my opinion they should look at the bright side.

Which is why I included myself in the OP. I’m not innocent.

Or we could just talk about the game with whatever tone and agenda we like on the forum which is dedicated to talking about the game with whatever tone and agenda users like (within the realm of being constructive), rather than discussing the forum and its users. That would work too.

Most of the time I spend here is when I’m at work without any support tickets to work on. So in that sense, no, I don’t typically have better things to do.

I agree.

I don’t like to do any of those things. I do like to play video games and would like to play Halo without these easily avoidable issues. That’s why I’m here telling that to 343.

Most people who don’t like the game in its entirety have left. Disliking one, many, or even most of the components of the game doesn’t mean you “Don’t like the game.” It’s incredibly black and white. I liked Halo 4, as did many, but thought that armor abilities like the jetpack were plain detrimental to gameplay. Everyone, understandably, complained. Is the jetpack in Halo 5? No. I wonder why!

Key words, my friend. Combined with that “tone” bit you mentioned earlier, there’s a lot of agression being thrown around both ways under the guise of “debate”

Your initial point doesn’t mention constructiveness, aggression, or tone, or even allude to any of those. You’ve moved the goalposts. First, it was, “I’m sick of people complaining,” [ironic], now it’s, “People are breaking the rules,” to which I respond: Simply report them if you feel that way.

I whine but I don’t post it online I say it out loud and I mean LOUD

WOAH NOW I kinda thought it would go without saying tthat by “whining” I meant this fake image of discourse that pervades the forums.

And I never moved the goalposts, because they never existed. I didn’t have this huge goal in mind making the thread, rather than to say that everyone needs to take the chillest of pills. EVERYONE. Including myself.

People are allowed to complain and argue. That’s actually the point of a forum. If you feel their complaints are non-constructive, report them. You moved the goalpost because first your narrative was that people should stop whining, which has become an all-encompassing word for “complaining,” and then you changed the narrative once that was defeated to, “People should stop being aggressive and non-constructive,” to which again I respond: Report them. Not to mention your, “Don’t you have anything better to do?,” solidifies your intent of the initial failed narrative.

then you whine about the whining whining

To answer your question, no I really don’t.

> People are allowed to complain and argue. That’s actually the point of a forum.

Well, the point of a forum is discussion. Nitpicking I know.

At least you’re honest bro. You get "Eleventh Sniper Points"TM, which are really actually useless and some even consider them detrimental because it means they interacted with some punk who felt the need to make a points system.
