I have played this game more in the time from launch than any other game I have ever owned. It’s campaign was incredible and the Spartan Ops is amazing whilst coupled with a great multiplayer.
The campaign was so well written and paced and is the best Halo campaign yet in my opinion. The music gave me chills and I really felt the emotion of it the whole way through. I’ve really missed the Chief with Cortana and the motion capture and voice acting just give them so much more presence than ever before.
The Spartan ops so far has been fantastic. The introductory CGI episode gives me a great feeling on the way this is going and the missions are so satisfying to play with friends and whilst best with others it was still great by yourself to my surprise.
That only leaves one thing that people always complain about in every new halo launch:
Matchmaking
I love Halo 4’s matchmaking so far, it has reminded me of why I love halo. Everything feels so fresh and new while at the same time keeping the core of what makes halo what it is, and that is it’s feel. The new changes should remind everyone that Halo 4 is it’s own Halo and the start of something new.
I understand that there are some things that need to be fixed and it’s good of some people to give “constructive” suggestions about things that they feel would make matchmaking flow better or giving a heads up on glitches that they have found. Whether they are correct or not I’m sure 343 will look at every one of them because they love Halo just as much as any of us.
However something I do not understand are all of the people that feel the need to write off Halo 4 and hate on it for being new or for implementing new ideas without giving it a chance. Please take a step back and think about what you write before you do it because I thought the Halo fan base was supposed to be the more mature and friendly community. I don’t want to make it sound like you don’t have the option to not like Halo 4 because you are entitled to your opinions, but there are better ways to voice them if you really need to at all.
I can tell you though 343 that the people that are being immature and dismissive on the forums about Halo 4 are in the minority, it’s just that they are always the more vocal group. Also know that there are so many more people that think exactly the same as I do and I take my hat off to all of the amazing work put into a game series that I have loved for so very long.
