Don't worry 343

In 5 years people will look back at Halo 5 and even the most hateful fan right now will be clouded by nostalgia and wish to go back to the simpler time because all of their complaining has led to you abandoning the awesome practice of free DLC and constant support. They will yearn for companies to listen to feedback yet not realizing they had ruined it. And they will remember the good times of balanced weapons and warzone.

Seriously, can we all stop complaining?

People can dream, can’t they?

Releasing an unfinished game then filling in the missing pieces later is not constant support. Lol good times and warzone.

Say that the Shooter-Game-of-the-Year… lal…

It’s like Halo Reach. Everyone hated it initially, and now everyone loves it.

Unfinished? What, by your standards? You don’t determine when a game is finished the developer does. And guess what? 343 says its finished so its finished.

And just because you don’t have fun in warzone doesn’t mean it’s not a fun mode, just means you’d prefer a different game. Have you tried Cod?

I wouldn’t say I love it, but I’ve been looking forward to it becoming backwards compatible because it’s the closest thing on the Xbox One to classic Halo gameplay with a working matchmaking system.

I’ll stick to MCC for customs and LAN parties, Reach for matchmaking, and H5 until I finish going after some achievements.

“Everyone” is a gross exaggeration. Where did you guys come up with that idea? There are hundreds, if not thousands, of threads talking about how Reach started the downfall of Halo when it introduced sprint, bloom, armor lock, jet packs, and loadouts. Not to mention the campaign was nowhere similar in spirit to the book Fall of Reach that had already been out for years.

My point isn’t to bash Reach. But to show how so many people that post on Waypoint ridiculously overuse the term “everyone.”

343 said a lot of things before Hali 5 released that weren’t so, perhaps the “343 says it so it’s true logic” isn’t very smart. I have a list to show that just because they say something doesn’t mean it’s true. With Forge still being tested after Halo 5 released kinda shows it wasn’t finished.

The campaign in the book followed chief while the game follows the spartan 3’s. And in my opinion the hopelessness the game portrayed was very in tune with the book.

But by using everyone I’m sure he meant the people on waypoint and I’ve only seen 5 at most about it while I’ve seen many praising Reach for x or because of reason y

The definition of a lot is a great deal, so lets say 4. Name 4 things that were confirmed to be in Halo 5 at the launch. And it can’t be suspected or assumed, just confirmed.

Because you can’t, I guess this conversation is over

You can enjoy this. I care more about what 343 says about the story than the multiplayer.

The only thing in that list that even came close to fulfilling the conditions was the marketing argument. But the marketing was done as you are a civilian and this is what the normal person sees while the campaign is actually what’s happening. And even if that wasn’t the case, it was never stated that you’ll fight Oni or meet Benjamin Girard or that Chief and Locke would fight to the death. All of that was assumed by the community and raised to unimaginable and incoherent levels of ridiculous expectation. Especially when almost anyone with a brain would realize it’s just gonna set up the story for the end of the trilogy. And even if it did count, that’s 1.

Any other links that mean nothing you want to show me?

Your conditions, maybe. I just said that 343 says a lot of things that weren’t necessarily true. Claiming that Blue Team has more lines of dialogue than in the books, comics and other media? Probably less than accurate. Claiming that Cortana’s fate was obvious and that Chief would be working past her death and learning to cope? That never happened. Claiming Chief is beginning to doubt what the UNSC stands for? Nah. Saying Chief is the star of the show yet only given 3 missions? Probably a subjective point, but one they went into massive damage control in order to placate fans. Making the Didact absolutely essential to post-Halo 4 fiction? He got three issues in Escalation and is in a box somewhere. Hell, even the Locke and Arbiter cutscenes in Halo 2A don’t even fit into Halo 5 at all.

You can dismiss everything if you want, but the quotes are there for all to see and make their own minds over. Course, I’m sure someone who cares more for the multiplayer can dig deeper and find things that fulfil your qualifications.

Hate to say it, Halsey, but no matter what anyone says or shows them, these people will never believe 343 can do something wrong.

It sucks, but there’s nothing we can do about it.

I knew that this forum is full of cucks towards 343i but damn this takes the cake.
