The difficulty of this achievement seems a bit harsh to begin with seeing as it is only possible in one playlist on a nearly impossible to get game type, but, add to that the fact that I was not given this achievement after completing the written requirements twice, and as a result, you get a visibly butt flustered Killer Whale.
Both times I played a game of 1 Flag CTF on Highlands (Defiant map) and the other team did not touch my flag even once. I can link both games if you wish to see and I have the film of the prior one (which I have watched a re-watched. No flag touching.).
I have heard rumors that you can only get this achievement on Condemned, which, if true, is utterly ridiculous. Can anyone offer me some insight on how to actually get this achievement? At this point I would actually be more than happy to pay for the darn thing. Seriously, 343, I’ll give you $20. I’m extremely agitated.
Any help, from either forum go-ers or a 343 employee would be glorious. Thanks.
Unless you have an entire group to boost this with, I suggest letting it go.
It’s just an achievement, not worth all of the terrible stress anymore.
This achievement is extremly difficult, I have attempted in so many times and always unsuccessful.
One game I played the enemy did not touch the flag the whole game and with 10 seconds of the game remaining I lost connection to xbox live. The achievement is so frustrating and difficult.
Killer. Yes you are correct, Condemned is the ONLY playlist you can get this in. I don’t believe highlands is a possibility. You will have to do a lot of Team Objective in short, it’s a lot of time and without a solid group of people you know with DLC it will most likely take forever. You need either 1 Flag or 1 Flag Pro (this does count) and for both rounds, yes both the opposing team can’t touch your flag even once. The achievement will pop at the fading game end so don’t be worried if you manage both rounds and nothing shows.
My source, I have all Reach Achieves ;). If you desperately need help, feel free to message me and I’ll see if we can help. At the time it was 4 vs 4 and we had a full lobby of friends so it was much easier. Speed through games that weren’t right and just fight in the game of 1 Flag and not go near it at all.
And another tip, both Teams can get this achievement in one game - doesn’t require a win.
Also, took my group around 2 hours to get the correct game variant. That’s will all DLC and rushing through wrong variants. Don’t try to solo it, it will take you weeks.
Does anyone know if 1 Flag CTF is in Team Objective, currently? I’ve been searching for a while now and have not come across this game type at all.

1 Flag CTF is in Team Objective

Thanks, Moa. And I finally got the achievement in a game on Condemned.
Honestly, 343, there has to be a way to ease the difficulty on the achievement a bit. That is just too damn hard for your average Halo player to ever get. It’s okay for achievements to rely a bit on luck, but that one is almost pure luck. The chances of even getting that game type are extremely low, let alone not letting the other team score.
Just a suggestion.
I’ve been playing Squad DLC for the past 2 weeks straight and have only seen one flag on Condemned once… nobody voted for it, so I didn’t even get a chance.

Same with me. I searched Squad DLC for a few hours nearly every night for two weeks. Sometimes I was in full parties, other times with one other person, and a few nights by myself. I got 1 Flag CTF on Condemned as a voting option once and it didn’t get picked.
It took me two nights (about five hours each night) of Team Objective in a full party before I found 1 Flag CTF on Condemned and I was lucky enough to get the achievement. One of my teammates didn’t even get it even though I did. I would hate to be him.
If you go into TO with a full party and everyone has all the DLC, have someone delete Noble and Anniversary map packs (just re download then from your history later) before you start searching. It’ll bump the odds of finding Defiant DLC in the playlist.

If it were only that easy… I’ve been trying to get a party together, but no luck thus far.
