Don't they realize..

Don’t they realize they can get every man woman and child to fork over $60 for this and stifle cheating at the same time? F2P is literally the worst thing they could possibly do.

Free to play is the way.

F2P has it’s down sides, but when other AAA Titles are doing it they probably should as well, to try and keep the player base as high as possible. It also makes it a great way for people that have never been interested to try out halo, never know they might become long term fans.

They will get you with the micro transactions, you’ll see.

There will be some I have no doubt, but what they are doing with the battle pass, for me, shows they are trying to minimize the “cash grab”, other F2P games ask you to buy a pass and then you have XX amount of days to complete or its gone forever. While with Halo you are going to own w/e you buy and can unlock it whenever. This is going to appeal to many people that can’t/don’t have enough time to complete a season in time yet still wont to unlock everything they have purchased.

My biggest concern is now with MP being F2P, will the Campaign be worth the $60 now that the other 1/2 of the game isn’t behind that pay wall…

Well that depends, its possible that the Halo Infinite campaign is big enough to be worth $60 alone, we don’t know how long it is and 343 have been working on it for a WHILE.

With skins and character in the shop to directly buy they will be destroying it with micro transactions. Battle pass I have no problem with but not a fan of the shop that you can just buy skins and characters without earning. But thats this generation, don’t want to earn it just buy it.

As for the Campaign being $60 alone, as long as they add some good skins and characters that you can ONLY get from the campaign and not in the shop. Then it will be worth it. And another plus is the achievements.

Agreed! and I’m hoping that it is, I’m still a big fan of the Story and the Lore so I’m hoping its packed with stuff to do! Which based a some of the stuff we’ve seen. I’m in high hopes. Just a concern I have, but we’ll see

See the beauty of that is its on the player then. If you want to spend absolutely nothing you can. F2P is the way. Now there will be massive population and sbmm can work as intended.

I absolutely would pay the money just to play the campaign, but since it’s going to be included on game pass, which I already have, I don’t have to after all. Really loving the game pass generally but having all the Halo included is wonderful. Not unexpected, but wonderful.

They will probably make more off of microtransaction whales and Chinese markets who’ve made pay to win mechanics the norm…without anti-cheat this game will be held hostage by Xao Ping Romanovski and his 10,000 premade accounts…but I did bring this point up the day they announced FTP. Here’s hoping they have a plan…if not…prep for the -Yoink- storm and hope they release with forge so we can all retreat to Halo Customs.

Just wait until armour cores and different armour sets start beocming microtransactions

This game is going to be microtransactioned to hell and back

That’s true I forget about that part sometimes. Need to finish that collection on my shelf though so I’ll be grabbing a hard copy too.
